Summary

To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before is now a major motion picture streaming on Netflix!

What if all the crushes you ever had found out how you felt about them...all at once?

Sixteen-year-old Lara Jean Song keeps her love letters in a hatbox her mother gave her. They aren’t love letters that anyone else wrote for her; these are ones she’s written. One for every boy she’s ever loved - five in all. When she writes, she pours out her heart and soul and says all the things she would never say in real life, because her letters are for her eyes only. Until the day her secret letters are mailed, and suddenly, Lara Jean’s love life goes from imaginary to out of control.

I LOVED this story!

This Story was wonderful. I was unsure if I would enjoy this or not, since it is intended for a younger audience. but ohmygosh, I enjoyed this so much. It is sweet and precious. and the love that persists and grows is so enchanting. I cannot wait to listen to the next audiobooks in this series. I have not seen the movie yet but plan to soon! the narrator is young and her male voices are all the same, but she does a really good job besides that. As long as you pay attention it is not hard to differentiate the characters. I cant wait to hear this narrator progress. overall I am happy with this story and performance. I dont know if you will like this story as much as I do! but if you like mild unadulterated stories then this is a great story to start with. I loved that it was clean and nonsexual. this audiobook was enticing. I appreciate that I gave it a shot for myself. xoxo

Made For the Movies

I kept thinking this is the female counterpart of the movie Can't Buy Me Love. Lara Jean and Peter try to avoid the pitfalls of teenage romance by entering into a contract. Said contract will give them the appearance of a legit couple. Both of them would like to escape the scrutiny of their peers. They aren't strangers. As a matter of fact they once were friends, but middle school cliques and jealousy tore them apart. What happens when the jock discovers the quirky girl thinks she loves him?

Cute Contemporary

The story itself is very cute and bubbly and a normal suburban girl in Highschool can easily relate to a lot of the family dynamics and relationship struggles. The Audio was great the reader did a great job. I'll definitely be reading the others with the audio.

Amazing!

I loved this book! I can’t wait to read the next one, but I’m sad that I watched the movie first, and then read the book, but the movie changed a lot! At least I got to read it!

a pleasant little romance

I enjoyed this little story. I enjoyed the relationships between the sisters and how their father doted on his daughters. Laura Jean is a sweet girl who isn't afraid to admit her feelings for several boys throughout her life. She was honest about who she liked and admitted it to anyone. I was not like her at all when I was young so it was an interesting perspective. Oddly enough this book centers largely around the foods Laura Jean prepared daily. There was a lot of talk about the foods they ate for breakfast, lunch, dinner, events, road trips, etc. It started to make me laugh when the characters discussed the details of the foods they were going to prepare. Overall, it wasn't bad. I'll probably listen to the sequel at 2x speed so I can watch it on Netflix.

Cute, enjoyable and well-written

If you're in the mood for a light, feel-good listen this book (and series!) is for you!

Delightful, real characters, cute story and just the right amount of drama pull this all together. Definitely young adult targeted, but as a not-young adult I enjoyed it very much! Sweet romance and dealing with growing up and being a teenager.

You genuinely come to adore the main character Laura Jean! She's naive in many ways, genuinely kind and approachable - someone many girls and women can relate to. Brought me back to my teenage years (mostly the good parts, thankfully!)

Performance is just ok - doesn't detract from the book but not standout.

not quite sure....

the voice of the narrator threw me off a bit. I can honestly say the movie was better than the book
