About this listen

Everyone deserves to get away for a bit. Even the miscreants at St Mary's.

Astonishingly, Dr. Bairstow has declared a holiday. Even more astonishingly - he's paying for it. Needless to say, there are strings attached. They have to record the 1601 performance of Hamlet, with Shakespeare himself in the role of the Ghost. It doesn't go well, of course.

With Dr Bairstow and Mrs Mack turning a simple visit to a street market into a public brawl, Professor Rapson inadvertently stowing away on a vessel bound for the New World, and Shakespeare himself going up in flames, it would seem that Max, of all people, is the only one actually completing the assignment.

The book was again a joy to listen to. Nice and relaxing with a good chunk of humour. New characters coming into their own 🙂.Just a pity Amazon decided it was time to pay for this short story after the others .5's were free.

Enjoyed this immensely.

Lots of fun and gentle humour as is usual in this series. It's a shame it is so short.

Very short, but fun

These Chronicles of St Mary's series are fantastic, very well narrated by Zoe Ramm.. If they ever made a film of these, then she is Max!

The premise of these stories is genius! Can't wait for the next one!
If you could visit any point in time, where would you go?

A short but entertaining story that adds to the full length books. Funny and enjoyable I recommend them all.

Freebe but a goodie

Poor Evans, the bursting of childhood bubbles was funny. And what happened with the 'Security Teams' had me laughing.
