Editor reviews

When the Himalayan Institute hosted its Sacred Link Freedom from Fear conference, it had one aim only: to help people "master the art of peaceful and joyful living". Irene Landers offers her perspective on how individuals can face their fear with courage and maintain their sense of internal security. After all, she states, the greatest threat to one's own security is oneself. Once a person has become centered, then she can expand that sense of security to the world around her.

Landers has a knowledgeable and peaceful voice in which she urges people to "take their power back". This live recording includes questions at the end of the talk.

Summary

If as a government, tribe, or individual, you are not centered and secure in yourself, there will be fear all around you. This fear will be reflected in your thoughts, speech, and actions. If you are fearful you are less likely to enlarge your personal sphere or come in contact with those you are not familiar with.

Learn how courage and going to that mental edge will help you understand the elusive nature of security. Finding that secure place within yourself, you can be an effective peacemaker.

More than 30 world-renowned speakers joined the Himalayan Institute in Honesdale, Pennsylvania, for the Sacred Link Freedom from Fear conference. Topics ranging from personal growth to world affairs to sustainable ecology were presented and recorded live. This lecture is among those offered.
