Summary

The night was eerily black; no stars, no wind, completely overcast. Distant thunder voiced an ominous warning. Some say it was raining. Others say it wasn't. Some can't remember. Yet, everyone agrees that in the wee morning hours of Sunday, May 13th, 1962, a single fateful bolt of lightning struck the bell in the very top of the steeple of Saint Mary's Catholic Church.
