From the million-copy bestselling author of The Book You Wish Your Parents Had Read, to help you with the most important relationships in your life

Life is all about relationships and the quality of those connections, whether that's with family, partners, friends, colleagues or most importantly yourself. If you can get those relationships on a functional and even keel, then the other tricky stuff that life throws your way becomes easier to manage.

In this warm, practical and witty book, No.1 Sunday Times bestselling psychotherapist Philippa Perry shows you how to approach life's big problems.

How do you find and keep love? What can you do so that arguments don't feel torturous? How can you get unstuck and cope with change and loss? What does it mean to you to be content? Are other people just annoying or are you the problem

With a healthy dose of sanity, Philippa Perry's compassionate advice could help you become a happier, wiser person.

Includes some material adapted from the Ask Philippa columns in Observer Magazine.

Nothing special

Very Ordinary book. Nothing special but very random. Didn’t learn anything that I would put into use.

A thought provoking read

I absolutely loved The Book You Wished Your Parents Read and knew this would be a classic. It made me realise how important my family and loved ones are and helped me forgive/let go of any grudges and anger I had. I’ve will likely give it another listen.

Loved this!

Enjoyed all Philippa had to say, as a 24 year old I found that some of her selected emails and advice to be not that as relevant to me in my life as of yet. But enjoyed the listen none the less :)

Very interesting!

Really enjoyed listening to this. It's packed full of so much insightful information about relationships, not just romantic ones but relationships with everyone! I'll take a lot away from it! Only downside was the quality of the narration which I found quite dull, but the content itself was excellent.

A worthwhile investment of 6 hours.

The book you want everyone you love to read (2019) By Dr Philippa Perry

I enjoyed Phiippas third book, “the book you wish your parents had read (2019) ”, so I was keen to digest Dr Perry's fourth book also.

It put a “bit more meat on the bones” of similar topics to the last book.
The chapters are on love, connection, conflict, change and contentment - all important aspects of life which many people are challenged by.

Philippas words are honest, and based on many years of clinical experience.
A worthwhile investment of 6 hours.
Recommended.

A solidly helpful and compassionate book.

This is a real gem.
Read so well that the meaning is crystal clear and resonates without distraction.

It will ease anyone's way through life, smoothing off any sharp corners that one might have the misfortune to bump into, or unwittingly create.

if there's one 'self help / do it like this' book
you should read, it is this!

Thank you so much Philippa Perry.

At last!.

This book really spoke to me. I felt it had been written specifically for me. It will be used as a point of reference for managing every day life and teaches self acceptance and forgiving oneself.

A great listen backed by theory and written by a psychotherapist which adds value.

Sensitive overview of therapy

The author takes great care interpreting, using examples and emails to discuss therapeutic theory. Bringing it into everyday suggestions at the end of each chapter. Great listen!
