Everything you need to know
There are soooo many things you need to think about when you start your own business. When you set out to start a consulting business, most place only tell you how to get clients and develop a revenue stream from them. Those are important, but there is a lot more that I need to know, such as legal. I don't know if other people are afraid to talk about the legal side of it or they just don't know, but its hard to get much information on the legal aspect. This book devotes a whole chapter to that in addition to giving all the other important information about building clientele.

The small price of this book will pay itself over
I particularly liked how this book helps you discover your own skills, what you are best at - and become really focused with that. In turn that helps you narrow down your audience and how you can best serve them. I was quite nervous about what I actually have to offer people so this was probably the most helpful part of the book for me. The narration is very flowing and easy to listen to. All in all so much precious advice for people getting started - found it really motivating. Highly recommended.

CONSULTING SUCCESS: FROM ZERO TO THRIVING!
I recently listened to this book and I found it to be a valuable resource for anyone looking to venture into the world of consulting.
The personal story shared in this book resonated with my own experiences. Just like the author, I had doubts and uncertainties about stepping into the consulting field. However, hearing how they overcame obstacles and learned from mistakes gave me a boost of confidence. helpful guidance
This handy book offers insightful guidance and covers in-depth with the 7-steps on launching a consulting biz. It addresses issues like attitude, and routines, determining your area of specialty and niche, starting a business and raising capital, and clients, building credibility, and promoting your value, among other things.
I liked the fact that the book takes you really from the scratch and build up on that, and the first chapter's was really helpful. As the author explains, to reap long-term rewards, you must be prepared to alter your routine and make short-term sacrifices.
The narration of the book was good and pleasing to the ear. The content, as discussed above, was adequate

Solid info
My best friend just moved to consulting but she is working for a company as a 1099 employee. She wants to move to consulting on her own but wants to learn the ropes. Things aren't going the best so she is looking to branch out. I have some solid skills that can help her so I wanted to see what other info was out there that would help us get her business off the ground quickly. Chapter 5 focuses on the clients. Learning how to buy your loyalty with specific strategies because your loyal clients could have the potential to make or break you. But to get loyal clients, you have to at least get your first client and the book did a solid job of reviewing how to do that. I feel like this book does not try to sell you unrealistic big dreams. You will have to put in the work but if you listen and follow the steps, you should be solid to really get your business of the ground and work towards being your own boss.
