Summary

From New York Times best-selling author Michelle M. Pillow....

Mining ash on a remote planet where temperatures reach hellish degrees doesn't leave Kal (aka Spark) much room for dating. Lucky for this hard-working man, a new corporation, Galaxy Alien Mail-Order Brides, is ready to help him find the girl of his dreams. Does it really matter that he lied on his application and really isn’t looking for long-term but rather some fast action?

Earth women better watch out. Things are about to heat up.

funny short story.

it all happens really fast and iflt would be nice to know how the 2 get on after this book. i will definitely read book no.2 even of it's about another character. unfortunately i was not a big fan of the narration. it felt like someone was actually reading rather than narrating too many times for my liking. but she does have a pleasant voice nevertheless.

Sweet aliens!

Short, sweet, and quirky alien romance story that had me shaking my head one moment and smiling at the next. Spark and Carrie make a good and entertaining couple. The narrator did a great job with providing unique voices for each character and appropriate tone inflections for each scene. I received a free copy of the audiobook and have voluntarily left this review.

Good

I got this one on audible. I don’t look at the length of time the books i buy are and was a little disappointed at how quick the book ended. Sorry, but in audible, this book is not worth the money. But, if you get it in paperback or in kindle, then give this book a go. I already got the next couple in the series and am going to listen to them now. Hope you enjoy them.

Aliens in Vegas

3 aliens arrive in Vegas for a little bit of fun and along the way Kal (aka Spark) meets Carrie. We also met Kal’s cousins Vin and Sev, whom I’m sure we’ll learn more about in later books. This was a real fun audiobook and I had a smile on my face throughout (mainly due to Kal’s naivety). I giggled out loud a few times too. Okay, it’s silly but it’s exactly the type of escapism I need at the moment! Good start to the series and looking forward to reading more!

Great for a steamy laugh

I enjoyed this one and the laughs that it gave me. The misunderstandings that came from the main character was definitely enjoyable and I am interested in continuing to see if the rest of the books follow suit. I didn't enjoy the narrator 100% but I think it was just me, and it wasn't enough to put me off the rest of the book.

Well it could use some work

I’m trying the next book because it’s cheap and short. But this really was quite boring and did not hold my attention. I just ended it and can only tell you that aliens come to America, don’t grasp the language and slang. She gets kidnapped he rescues her and we all live happily ever after. Yeah it needs reworking. This is my honest review and I paid for my copy of this book! It’s not worth a credit and really not worth $ either

Interesting listen

This was definitely a unique perspective into dating 😂
Sick of their job on a remote planet, Kal aka Spark (because it will cause lust in the ladies obviously) is roped into taking a trip to a much more diverse planet with a new corporation called Galaxy Alien Mail Order Brides. It doesn’t matter that he isn’t looking for long term and his friends lied on his application to get him there in the first place. They touch down in Las Vegas where Carrie is stuck playing the doting cousin at a wedding. While dodging her unlucky date Carrie overhears Kal describing a lovely bondage type scene to another woman as a way to win her to his bed. She’s baffled that this hot guy would not only think it’s ok to talk to a woman in that manner but that he actually thinks that’s a way to win her over. She hasn’t got a clue just how different Kal is from regular guys until days later he has tracked her down. A quick and light read/listen.

This book was enjoyable to listen to.

This book was definitely enjoyable to listen to. The interpretation of what the male aliens thought women wanted as so funny.

Fantastic aliens

This is the most creative alien tale I’ve ever heard and the narrator really knows how to bring the story to life

Cute

Some of the misunderstandings were funny and cute but the story overall was not really very entertaining. The narrator did a good job, at least she didn’t just read the story. I will not be pursuing the series.

Spark: A Qurilixen World Novella Galaxy Alien Mai

Far away in space is a hot planet that is mined for its ash. Kal has managed to bamboozle his brother and cousin into going on a trip...unbeknownst to them it's a trip to earth to find a bride. Needless to say his brother and cousin are not happy. Meanwhile on earth Carrie is in Las Vegas with her cousin who is having her wedding there. When she's introduced to her partner in the wedding she is not impressed and she tries to ditch the whole scene. That is when she meets Kal/Spark. From there life gets a trifle hectic and sometimes downright scarey.
Kylie Stewart is a remarkable narrator who brings each character to life.
For a rollicking fun time and an alien's idea of having fun while trying to decipher human speak and actions enjoy this series.

Fabulous narration

Short and ambivalent book about alien mail order brides coming to earth for some interaction with human women. The book is a goofy and simplistic in nature but I didn’t particularly care for the nonsense between Kal and Carrie.

The narration was fabulous!

Great Series Starter

As always, Michelle M. Pillow did a fantastic job with this book and giving us a new series to become invested in. The characters were well written and had great chemistry. The story line was engaging. I found this book just as enjoyable to listen to as to read thanks to the narrator doing a great job. The narrator had a soothing voice that made this pleasant to listen to and did a great job adding inflection when it was needed. I can't wait for the next book.

I received a copy of this audible book and I am voluntarily leaving my honest opinion.
