Summary

18-year-old Scott Keating knows a whole world exists beyond his parents' strict control. But until he gains access to the World Wide Web, he really has no idea what's out there. In a chat room Scott meets "JeffUK". Jeff loves and understands him, and when he offers to bring Scott to the UK, Scott seizes his chance to escape his humdrum life and see the world. But when his plane touches down and Jeff isn't there, panic sets in.

Collars and Cuffs' favorite barman and dom-in-training, Ben Winters, drops his sister off at the airport and finds a lost, anxious Scott. Hearing Scott's story sets off alarm bells, along with his protective instincts. Taking pity on the naïve boy, Ben offers him a place to crash and invites him to Collars and Cuffs, hoping his bosses will know how to help. Scott dreams of belonging to someone, heart and soul. Ben longs for a sub of his own. And neither man sees what's right under his nose.

Enjoyable part of a series

I’m not into BDSM stuff but found it very informative and the romance is great. A bit samey to the first two in the series and I maintain my criticism of the narrator. Manchester is almost home territory to me and to listen to an American try to speak with a Mancunian/ North West England accent is painful even tho he’s obviously trying hard. As a whole it did fill out a bit more of the story of Collars and Cuffs

Another Great Book on this serie

I was really worried by Scott and all his online experience of meeting a guy from another country and being "invited" to go live with Jeff in UK... But then, when I though things would really get bad for Scott, he met Ben...
Ben is a Dom in training at Collars and Cufs and he let's Scott live with him temporarilly until a better solution if found for Scott.
I must confess that I wanted to hit Ben upside the head a lot of times, to make him see what was right in front of him, and that Scott was perfect for him.
Even wanting to strangle Ben a few times (hehehe), I loved this story and how Scott and Ben found their way into a relationship.

Someone to keep Me

This book follows Scott & Ben- Scott, an 18 year old young man who flew to the U.K. To be with "Jeff" a man he had fallen for via Internet -- arriving at his destination, there was no Jeff.

Alone in a strange place, Ben saves Scott and takes him to meet his friends at "Collars & Cuffs Club" to see how they can all help the displaced boy. Scott, is not sure if he is hallucinating or suffering severe jet-lag but he had to be imagining what he is seeing at this "Club" Ben had brought him to..

Their relationship continues to grow from that day..but Ben is looking for a submissive and Scott is not sure what he wants except for someone to keep him, however he and Ben come to an agreement after Leo gets involved to make Ben see he doesn't want Scott going to another Dom.

This Is a great story. Like other books in this series the men have some emotional damage but they are still lovable and the story will make you laugh and cry..

It's great to keep seeing previous couples such as "Alex & Leo" & "Thomas & Peter" -- the narrator is different in this book but still does a good job.

Overall 4 stars for story & performance -- (Audiobook Reviewed by Alpha Book Club)

It takes a strong man to submit

Nick Russo's performance highlights this finely detailed story. The characters come alive in this realistic BDSM themed novel with 80% emotional / 20% sexual content, roughly speaking :-) I enjoyed seeing Ben and Scott mature by way of their "chance" relationship and — having spent some time as a sub myself — resonate with much of what was revealed. Good stuff!

Story line could be better.

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

I think the person who is insecure about his own sexuality might enjoy it more. I don't like the way the main character Scott thought of himself as just a mindless pet. I think the homosexual relationship could be upgraded to one of mutual service. And that means more than just what happens behind closed doors. That is like five percent of gay life. I am talking housekeeping; getting an education; making an income. All the other necessary things that allow people to live.

What was most disappointing about K.C. Wells and Parker Williams ’s story?

I don't like the presumption that Scott just thought of himself as a mindless slave. What about if his partner dies. In real life that happens to everyone gay or straight. You got to deal with life should you outlive your partner.

Would you listen to another book narrated by Nick J. Russo?

I think that would be one big maybe. I did enjoy the British accent. That kind of added authenticity to the narration.

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

I think the redeeming quality is Scott found a life in Manchester, England. It is kind of like a permanent OZ over the rainbow story with a gay theme.

KC did it again!

What made the experience of listening to Someone to Keep Me the most enjoyable?

I just adore the story. It is one that I will continue to listen to over and over again. I love the dynamics of Thomas and Leo and Alex and Peter. I want to have dinner with all of them. They are my fictional family for sure.

What did you like best about this story?

It makes the club look normal. The way the boys play is fun. It's not over-the-top. There are actual limits and I trust the author to keep that steady.

Which scene was your favorite?

Of course the scene was when Joe asked the boy to strip. Nailbiting!

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Oh God I hate the mother and father so when they showed up I think I just knew and start bawling. I suppose I would've cried more about Ben's mom but the author didn't really make it that big of a deal. I think I expected more from that.

worst in the series

If you want to waste your time on disquisitions of vegetarianism and strolls around Manchester and can tolerate ineffably bad Muancusian accents, tis for you -- provided you can wait 4+ hours for anything steamy. The omg rating given is a complete and utter hoax. Fortunately, other books in the series are not this boring and pointless.

The series just gets better with each book

What was one of the most memorable moments of Someone to Keep Me?

When Ben finally gets his head out of his rear and goes to get Scott.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Yes, I cried a couple of times. Scott had such low self esteem and the way he thought people viewed him was heartbreaking.

I felt so sorry for the submissive

What made the experience of listening to Someone to Keep Me the most enjoyable?

The fact that money was NOT the focus of the submissive.

What did you like best about this story?

The HEA ending

Have you listened to any of Nick J. Russo’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

voices are good.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes! I can't wait to listen to the rest of the series

Any additional comments?

I love the way you get to check on the past characters and see how they are doing!

wow!!!!

when I read the first book of the series, I didn't thought I would like the book, because of the BDSM subject. I was afraid that it will be too much for me, but unexpectedly I fell in love!!!
I fell in love with the club, with each one of the characters....
Leo captivated my heart from the first time he saw Adam.... seriously the first book was amazing!
what can I say about the second book about dearest Thomas and he's boy Peter they are so so cute cherishing and loving they have melt my heart and now I reach Ben lovely and amazing Ben so clueless but a great dom! the best there is!
I have listened to 3 books from the 8 in two and a half days it was a record time for me!
a little bit about the sex scenes in the book....
seriously I thought it will be rough and just not for me because I love sweet love and I hate violence but those books weren't about violence at all!
I suggest you should start to read or hear those books with an open mind and open soul and I'm sure you will enjoy it!!
Nick j Russo is one of the best Naruto's on Audible seriously you can provide voices and emotions sex noises hard feelings happiness sadness and all!!!
loved the book's!!!

BDSM Tutorial

Someone To Keep Me (Collars and Cuffs #3) by K.C. Wells & Parker Williams is a nice addition to the Collars and Cuffs series. Sometimes I get the feeling I'm being instructed in BDSM in this series but then the authors quickly snap back into the relationship building. Great characters feel like family, and while Ben took awhile to win me over, in the end everything was beautiful.
