It's first review I'm leaving, that much of an impression this title left. I listened to many many mm romances, and I'm usually looking for the spiciest once, but this one is exceptional, the build up is amazing, story incredible, narration first class. Over all one of the best books I've listened in the long time.

I liked most the two fantastic narrators. I laughed out loud at Reilly, especially at the scene with him, his mother, father, and the ladder. overall, this was a nice romantic story.

Riley Davenport has recently lost his sight in an accident, and he is living with the worst girlfriend known to man. Having only been together a few weeks, she moves in to help (or hinder) Riley. Riley does not want her round and she grates on every last nerve he has.

Harper Reid has just escaped his own personal hell. He has been in a relationship with a vile abuser. Taking a beating for the last time Harper leaves with a small bag of belongings, and heads to his friend Marcy’s. Marcy calls Daniel who is Harper’s best friend, who is sickened to the stomach when he sees how badly beaten Harper is. Harper has been hiding what his relationship was really like for the last two years.

Riley is looking for some home help at home, so he can adapt to his sight loss. Harper applies for and gets the job. Harper is one of the only people who can actually be his usual self around. Riley slowly realises that Harper is more than an employee.

Both Harper and Riley are suffering with physical, emotional and mental scars. They find solace in each other, and their love of mm romance audio books brings them together.

The way Iggy Toma and Greg Boudreaux bring so much love and emotion to the characters is heartwarming and heartbreaking.
This novel by Dianna Roman is so beautifully written, the pain that is felt by both main characters is palpable. They care deeply for each other, even if it did take them a while to get their HEA.
I love this book.
