Story
They say time heals all wounds, but it's been five years since my boyfriend died, and I haven't dated since. I threw myself into architecture, and thankfully, there's just no time to wallow or look for love. My friends push me to get back out there, but I'm not ready to be vulnerable again. Then I meet Kev. He dresses like a catalog model, but he talks like he's got an old soul. He shows me what I'm missing but holds his own heart just out of reach. I can't stop falling for him, and he might be worth taking a risk for. Can I believe in myself enough to win his trust and his heart?

The job at Sunday Orchard was supposed to be temporary. A chance to gain some work experience, to have some fun. I had not expected to be welcomed into a family of gorgeous and weirdly efficient lumberjack-types, or to find purpose in the tiny Vermont town whose claim to fame seemed to be apple-based products and copious amounts of charm. And I most definitely hadn’t expected to fall for Knox Sunday, my grumpy, burly, fifteen-years-older, reluctant roommate, with his infuriating lectures, his hot-as-fire body, his superior attitude - I’ve never been one to put down roots.

I spent college worrying about responsibilities and earning my teaching degree, so before graduation and moving to Atlanta with my best friend, Ross, I figure I deserve a little fun. I’ve never been with an older man, but the guy at the bar grabs my attention and doesn’t let go…for multiple rounds, all night long. The next day, when Ross introduces me to his dad, the last thing I expect is for him to be my hookup from the night before, in town from Atlanta for his son’s graduation. The best thing would be to pretend it never happened, which is easier said than done.

Summary
Life's a party, and Roman White is determined to have a good time. As the youngest captain at his airline, he has to endure a little good-natured ribbing, but at least he has the perks of being a pilot: constant travel and four gold bars on his shoulder that help him find men in every town. When he tries commitment, he always overcommits and scares off boyfriends. Why bother settling down?
Oscar Brooks is at the top of his game. As a dancer, he’s constantly touring with a prestigious company and stretching himself to attract his directors’ eye for a leading role. Even his frenemy-with-benefits in the company can’t distract him from his goal...until everything goes wrong in a heartbeat and he has to rebuild his life. What is he supposed to do now?
Roman has a spare room, and Oscar needs a place to stay. It seems like a match made in heaven. Except the chemistry between them didn’t stop after they tried to get it out of their system...and the attraction is only getting worse. Even their friends are trying to keep them apart, afraid of what can happen when two free spirits collide. Will they break each other’s heart, or can they break out of their patterns and chase their dreams together?

Yes! Roman and Oscar!!
I'm so glad we didn't have to wait for Roman's story! he's larger than life personality flew off the page and while he seems at odds with himself at times he's just so lovable.
Oscar falls on hard times and Roman sweeps in accidentally starting a new path for both of these "slick" men.
I felt the heart and passion between these two and like the previous 2 books the characters really just needed to talk to each other! but it all works out in the end and it's a hot and steamy journey to get there 😉

Another winner in the series
This is my favorite entry in the series so far. I love stories about dancers and the heartbreaking end to Oscar's career was sensitively described including his pain both physical and emotional. Both he and Roman have always played the field and watching them mature and learn to talk to each other captured my attention from the first. Greg Boudreaux is as always, perfect for this series. His emotional range is put to the test here as these guys struggle to open up and reach their HEA. E. Davies does not seem to be able to put a foot wrong with any series.

This book has been such a wonderful journey from the opening chapter. It was so such an enjoyable story that didn’t go overboard with drama. It was perfectly balanced with the rest of the book. I also really enjoyed the dirty talk it was very enjoyable. Even though this is book 3 I started here and can happily say it made sense and has convinced me I need to go back to the beginning.

Great addition to the series!
Slick is book 3 in the Significant Brothers series but can be read as a standalone with no problem. Greg Boudreaux did another fantastic job with this story; I love listening to his voice.
The dancer and the pilot – an unlikely pair? After Oscar injures his knee, thus preventing him from dancing, Roman offers his spare room while he recuperates. They didn't expect to fall for each other.
Not being able to dance is really hard on Oscar and Roman is being harassed by another pilot at work. Roman's job keeps them separated for days at a time and they aren't doing a very good job of communicating with each other which leads to misunderstandings. I loved it when they finally started talking to each other and the epilogue was great.
I'm really enjoying this series; I look forward to listening to more of the books.

Wonderfully Written, Low Angst Romance
I’m having the best time with E. Davies’ Significant Brothers series. Slick is Roman’s story and I loved seeing him get tamed by Oscar.
Each one of these guys’ stories is creative and interesting, low angst, and an absolute pleasure to listen to. Yes, you can definitely do them out of order and they’re all narrated by Greg Boudreaux who does a marvelous job.
Just have to say though, E. Davies writes some of the best dirty talk I’ve ever read (and audiobook fans how incredibly well Greg Boudreaux performs it!). These books are wonderful, if you’re just looking for a feel-good, nicely erotic romance, the Significant Brothers series is the way to go.

Instant chemistry leads to more
This series is just happy, fluffy, fun, goodness. Oscar and Roman had instant chemistry when they met earlier series, so I was definitely looking forward to their story. The chemistry is still there, but there’s so much more than that to their story! Each of them is so relationship adverse that they can be complete dummies about what’s happening between them, but they do eventually figure it out and make a wonderful couple.

Roman and Oscars book
We met these guys briefly in book 2 and finally they get their own book.
Whilst both in town they hook up. Roman being a long haul pilot is away a lot, Oscar being a dancer is also around the world so hasn't got a base at home.
After an accident leaving the dance studios, Oscar has to leave the dancing world for 6 weeks minimum, in the world of high-end dancers, this is a life sentence. He heads back to his hometown to stay with his best friend, but that isn't a realistic option, too many stairs.
Roman meets Oscar again on a night out with the significant brothers, and decide that a hook-up would work again. Will they get together or will it be a like planes that pass in the night, should that be ships.
This is another great book in the series from Ed and again narrated extremely well. Can't wait for the next book.

𝑊ℎ𝑎𝑡 ℎ𝑎𝑝𝑝𝑒𝑛𝑠 𝑤ℎ𝑒𝑛 𝑡𝑤𝑜 𝑓𝑟𝑒𝑒 𝑠𝑝𝑖𝑟𝑖𝑡𝑠 𝑐𝑜𝑙𝑙𝑖𝑑𝑒?
Roman and Oscar are drawn to eachother and the chemistry between them sizzles and sparks. They tried to get it out of their system once. But their paths keeps crossing and their bodies keep colliding. They can't help it even though they know they aren't right for eachother.
Will they end up breaking eachother's hearts or can they find something more along the way?
This was a sweet, hot, opposites attract romance. This is a light read and low on the angst.

3.5 🌟 Decent story, but not my favorite
I absolutely love Ed and his books. I have to admit that I am behind on The Significant Brothers series, so when I had the opportunity to honestly review a free copy, I jumped at the chance. Unfortunately, this just didn't hit all my buttons the way his books usually do.
The story is entertaining, and we see earlier characters, but I just couldn't make the personal connection with either Oscar or Roman. And, I guess because of that, I had a hard time figuring out how they went from players, and new one-offs in every town, to insta-something...lust? definitely... love? seems like it.
It was interesting to see how Oscar dealt with the turmoil that was his life, as well as watching Roman fighting his own battles. The problem is, at least for me, exactly that; they each fought their own battles, and it didn't even seem to dawn on them to share with the other. Between that and the secrecy, I was disappointed with this one.
However, it was good enough that I listened to the whole thing, so it's not terrible. lol! Now, Mr. Boudeaux, who is usually one of my absolute favorite narrators, did a good job, not great, but well enough for the listen. Maybe it was my overall disconnect from the story, but everything just felt kinda flat.
I'll still be getting the next book, though!

Free spirits learning to soar together
On the surface, Roman and Oscar don’t seem to fit together, one with his head in the clouds and never staying still and the other rarely looking beyond the dance stage for long. Neither of them were good at relationships and don’t match up for the longest time despite their chemistry. When they got their acts together, there was as much sweetness as anyone could want while remaining relatively low angst. Another good book for the Significant Brothers and as usual, Greg Boudreaux does a great job of voicing the story to life.

A romance that will leave a smile on your face
Though I was a bit thrown off by how randomly this story began, Roman and Oscar quickly won me over with their steamy passion and adorably awkward interactions. Their romance was such a feel-good story, even as Oscar struggled to find a new purpose in life and Roman dealt with some uncomfortable work situations. I loved seeing how these men deliberately made choices to be together, even though they were terrible at communicating with each other for most of the book. I haven't read all the books in this series, but I had no issues at all enjoying this one as a standalone. Greg Boudreaux's narration was outstanding, and I thought both the pacing and character expression matched the story perfectly.

Enjoyable Love Story with Terrific Narration
"Slick" was my introduction to the Significant Brothers series (not an issue since this is a standalone) and I really enjoyed it. MCs pilot Roman and dancer Oscar start this story with a bang (intentional pun), and both are very likeable characters as we see their relationship evolve from a physical one to love with the aid of a forced proximity/roommates situation.
I'm a fan of author E. Davies's work, and the same goes for narrator Greg Boudreaux. His character voices are varied, delivery natural, and overall performance engaging, and all made for an entertaining listen. I received an ARC of this audio book and have left this honest review voluntarily.

Fun Fling Turns into More
Another low-angst romance in the Significant Brothers series. Two ambitious men. Two careers that keep them from forming serious relationships, or so they tell themselves. They have a fling knowing it won't develop into more. Then an accident puts them in close proximity. I enjoyed each of them realizing that they had something to offer in a relationship. The author developed the characters organically, it didn't seem rushed or unauthentic. It was sweet watching them stumble around their feelings while building something together. Still unimpressed with the narrator. Wonky inflections and flat reading made me almost want to read the book but not listen to it. It also seems he has a limited variety of 'voices' for characters.
I received a free copy of this audiobook for an honest review.

Another terrific book in the series
This is the third book in the Significant Brothers series and it is yet another enjoyable read. Our couple in this one is Significant Brother Roman, the hot shot, “slick” long-haul pilot, and Oscar, best friend of Falcon (from Book 2) who is the boyfriend of Roman’s SB Blane. Roman and Oscar meet in Book 2 and by the time this book starts, the attraction between them is already high. Starting this story is a bit like walking into the middle of a conversation; events are taking place but there’s a gap as to how they got there. It’s a bit disconcerting at first; I actually backed up to Book 2 and refreshed my recollection of Oscar and what was mentioned about him there. I recommend doing that if you want full context. There’s one scene in particular towards the end of Book 2 that gives you all the background you need on Oscar, and then another scene with Oscar meeting Roman for the first time which fills in the gaps present at the beginning of Book 3.
As with our other SB couples, Roman and Oscar are multi-dimensional characters, and it’s really enjoyable seeing how their relationship unfolds. Roman is beyond adorable; he’s this guy with a “slick” reputation that belies his true nature: he wants the spouse, the house, the white picket fence … he wants to settle down and have a family but feels like he shouldn’t want that because it’s just driven his prior boyfriends away. Oscar, for his part, is a bit lost. When he falls, injuring his leg and his career, he takes his hopes, dreams and purpose down with him. He’s trying to figure out who he is now if not a dancer, and he grapples with some identity issues that interfere with his willingness to let Roman in the way he wants to. The author does a great job describing their individual struggles. Unfortunately, though, I felt like the story focused mostly on those individual struggles and not the two of them as a couple. They felt like two planets orbiting each other. There’s attraction, but the depth of their connection was described on page but not really felt. This improves towards the end of the book, but I was left feeling like there should have been more. Making up for some of the deficit are expanded scenes with the SBs which are humorous and heartwarming.
This book highly benefits from Greg Boudreaux’s narration, which, as usual, is fantastic. It’s unbelievable how he embodies these characters with totally distinct voices and his vocalizing is not just words: it’s the words + the description of how they are said + the emotion behind it all rolled into one. The tone is perfect and the audio as a whole is pristine. Seemingly mundane things make the narration so authentic. For example, there’s a scene where Roman is writing a note to Oscar. Mr. Boudreaux narrates it exactly as someone writing a note would if they were speaking out loud as they wrote it. Most narrators I’ve listened to would not read it that way and it just stood out to me as one of the details that he focuses on and which elevate his narration from great to superb.

And my heart became your dance floor
Oh wow, these books are so incredible that I don’t even know where to start. First of all, E. Davies and Greg Boudreaux combo?!?!?! Yes, please and give me more. You can listen any book in the series without following the order and you will fall in love with them. I like that they are very low-angst and feel-good listens. And E. Davies know how to write love scenes sizzling hot and crackling. I have listened the previous books in the series and I’m very happy to finally get Roman and Oscar’s story. The former is the life of the party and the latter, a workaholic. It was so fun to see them slowly moved towards their happy ending. And lastly, hello to that drop-dead-gorgeous cover! Me likey!!!

Injured dancer stays with pilot while recovering
This series is continuing to be enjoyable to listen to and the third book was just as good. Roman and Oscar are both players and not really looking for a relationship, but end up sharing Roman's apartment. Roman has been thinking about relationships more and has a tendency to over-commit at times with some of the guys he hooks-up with. So when he starts having feelings for Oscar, he is unsure how to navigate the boyfriend world. There is a little side story of workplace harassment that injected a different feeling into the story. The Significant Brothers scenes are as delightful as ever and the brotherly banter is funny.
The narration is good with the character voices being portrayed convincingly and the pacing of the funny parts makes me laugh out loud. I look forward to more in the series and recommend this third book as well as books one and two.
