Summary

Best selling author Terry Brooks became the master of epic fantasy with his legendary debut, The Sword of Shannara. Since then, each new novel in the Shannara saga has brilliantly built upon the world of breathtaking magic, adventure, and intrigue he created. Now in Morgawr, the quest at last draws to its climactic conclusion.

Confrontations with the merciless Isle Witch and the monstrous Antrax have already taken their toll on the heroes of the Four Lands, but their darkest adversary now snaps at their heels, in the form of the Morgawr - master of the Isle Witch.

With a fleet of airships and a crew of walking dead men at his command, the Morgawr is in relentless pursuit of the Jerle Shannara. For the Morgawr, the goal is twofold: to find and control the fabled ancient books of magic, and to destroy the dark disciple who betrayed him - the Isle Witch. Now at the mercy of those who seek vengeance against her, the Isle Witch's only protector is her long-lost brother, Bek Ohmsford, who is determined to redeem his beloved sister...and deliver her to the destiny predicted for her by the Druid Walker Boh.

Critic reviews

"Proves once again that [Brooks] puts out books that sell because of their quality, not just because of his name on the cover." ( Publishers Weekly)

abridged

abridged stories suck. I still have great respect for Terry Brooks, an amazing writer, but am disgusted by this abridgement of stories

This just doesn't do Terry Brooks justice!

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

To be fair to Terry Brooks and the story---you really need the unabridged version. Audible please take note. Thanks

Been reading since the word and the void

Over all am happy with how story has moved along most were the unabridged version at times i became inpatient with the story being stretched out with lots of descriptives usually in the parts of excitement but I have loved the story since i read the original three elf stones the wish song and the sword of Shannara not in that order. I would recommend that you do as I and start back at the beginning with the word and void and enjoy all these stories have to offer

Truth

Mystery and adventure are just the beginning. Truth is as much a mystery as adventure.

fantastic

great story, fantastic conclusion to the Gerald Shannara trilogy. the concluding paragraphs left me frustrated by having more questions. now I have to go on to the next books in the series. I am left wanting more.

my favorite of the Terry Brooks books so far

I really enjoy Terry Brooks books and I have been reading them for a while now. I think this is probably about my 10th book. the trilogy for the Jerle Shannara has by far been my favorite story of the series. I like it so much I'm going to start over and read it again now. I hope they make this into a movie! it actually had me tearing up a few times and cheering other times.

Great story and conclusion by Brooks!

This story wraps up the Voyages of Jerle Shannara and moves pretty quickly throughout. Only complaint- wish it was longer! If you have liked the other books then the conclusion of the trilogy won't disappoint.
