Summary

In the riveting sequel to the Amazon top 10 best seller EMP: Equipping Modern Patriots - A Story of Survival, Jonathan Hollerman masterfully paints a realistic world of chaos and despair and an incredible will to survive in the aftermath of a nationwide, long-term, grid-down scenario.

When the retreat where Sean and Maria reside suddenly grows exponentially, they must make tough decisions on splitting up and dividing their resources. Unknowingly, this leaves them vulnerable to a new, much larger threat that looms nearby. The devastation of America is also revealed through the eyes of a new character, Lt. Col. Bruce Harris, Commander, 31st Infantry Regiment, 10th Mountain Division. Colonel Harris is tasked with restoring electricity to the small town of Warren, PA, reestablishing order to the area, and tracking down a rogue platoon of Army Rangers that are reportedly pillaging the countryside. All is not as it seems though, and his orders will have life-changing consequences that leave him questioning where his true loyalty lies.

A fan....

EMP : equipping modern patriots is a great second story of this series. I know some have an issue with the Christian experience detailed however I am a fan of how the Lord leads during difficult situations

Not what you think

If I wanted to read the Bible I would have bought one. This is not a story about the end of the world. It's a story how god will save us all if we pray and believe. Disappointed.

We're from the govt and we're here to help you

Government taking people from their homes and putting them in refugee camps called Green Zones which were actually death camps full of disease, crime, and starvation. A bad to worse scenario.

Mostly a civil war story. Some prepping ideas, but mostly about combat and strategy.

Narrator superior.

Story not my cup of tea, but many will enjoy this genre.

The second book in the series

This book by Hollerman is great. It matched the story from the first and continued to instruct in what to expect in a grid-down world.

Great story and wish there were more to read or listen to. Easy to get caught up in the story. Really like the authors views on things.

VOooooCAaaaaalllllll Frrryyyyyyy

pretty good story and it's compelling but the narrator and his vocal fry of every character drove me out of my mind. At this point I am $30 into the story, so I may but the other books, but have been able to avoid them for over a year at this point. There are many other quality books in this category so I'm not concerned. If vocal fry doesn't affect you then go for it. The stories and series is decent. I would recommend reading though. If I continue the series, I will be reading it. I just can not take ther vocal fry. It's like nails on a chalk board. There are many other readers I prefer even if they don't pronounce or reverb read as well. good story though
