Cajun Spice

When Janes bike Bitsa dies on the way to NOLA, she ends up in a small town with big problems.

In this short story her mediating skills get a workout solving an ancient feud between cajun witches and vampires.

I highly recommend the Jane Yellowrock series.

I love the narrator of the story. She is excellent at doing accents and has a wonderful reading voice.

Hatfield and McCoy's have nothing over these Cajun

What did you love best about Cajun with Fangs?

How Jane settles a long established feud and gets to go to the first Cajun witch / Vampire wedding.

Who was your favorite character and why?

The small young lady in the gilly suit, that is such a wise mouth with a crack shoot.

What about Khristine Hvam’s performance did you like?

Professional and hard to do with that heavy Cajun accent.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I have a couple of times. It is less the Two hours long.

Any additional comments?

Another book has referenced this story, it is a good one well worth listening to.

Romeo & Juliet meets the Hatfield & McCoy's

A fun story of cross-culture/species romance with Jane caught in the middle, as usual.

Engine problems stand Jane in a tiny backwater town that's kept it's own private war found since the Civil War. Now the daughter of a leading member of the witch clan has been taken by the son of the master vampire. Jane is dragooned into helping with the rescue mission, but that of course doesn't go as planned.

Short and sweet

Any additional comments?

This is a fun short story, but be aware that it is an extract from one of the other books, not a new story.
Also be aware that while some of these 'shorts' are an hour or more long, others are rather less than that.
Very enjoyable listen anyway!

An Intriguing and Delightful Parley

I thoroughly enjoyed reading Jane's tale about a hundreds-years-old deep-swamp feud between vamps and witches...an almost Romeo and Juliet scenario actually avoided by Jane with the support of Derrick & his Tequila team in Bay Oiseau. scary, exciting, a bit of fighting, a wedding, and a party, not to mention delicious orange pekoe tea from China. As always, Kheistine Hvam has brought Faith Hunter's book to life in audio form. Fabulous!

I loved it!

I loved it!

This was such a surprise. I found these books and thought they were just more stories about Jane in New Orleans. I had no idea what a treasure trove I had found and what I was in for. I was so happy at the end of my first book to find that these were stories of Jane’s history and how some of her backstories played out that are just referenced throughout the series. I also enjoyed hearing the stories from Molly’s perspective. It was money and time well spent.

Loved it, cute

Cute story that will have you saying awe. Pretty much a stand alone but best read if you know the characters of the Jane Littlerock series. Ms.Hvam does an awesome job with all the Cajun accents. Loved this one. Typical Jane humor and fun. Great book. Happy listening.

good look at characters that will show up later

I love that Khristine Hvam narrates all of the Yellowrock books. Her cajun sounds like what I hear in my head.
