Summary

An einem diesigen Herbstmorgen stürzt über Sylt ein Kleinflugzeug ab. Die Maschine geht in den Dünen von List nieder, die Pilotin und ihr einziger Passagier sind auf der Stelle tot. Die Untersuchung zeigt, dass die Cessna manipuliert wurde - handelt es sich also um Mord? John Benthien, Hauptkommissar der Kriminalpolizei in Flensburg, übernimmt die Ermittlungen. Welche Rolle spielte der mysteriöse Passagier, der offenbar unter falschem Namen reiste? Und wer war er in Wirklichkeit? Auch persönlich stellt der Fall Benthien vor Probleme, denn die neue Staatsanwältin scheint ihn, anders als ihre Vorgängerin, nicht rückhaltlos zu unterstützen. In ihm keimt ein folgenschwerer Verdacht...
