Great books but only one file?

Any additional comments?

So there's only one file/chapter. This means I'm having to guess when one story ends and another starts. Surely that's a massive failing here....

not as described - spoilt by poor description

What disappointed you about Roald Dahl Reads Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and Four More Stories?

Despite the description claiming the books to be unabridged, they're seriously cropped. Almost all the magic has been pulled away from the stories, there's no detail or whimsy left.

What did you like best about this story?

They reminded me that real books still have a valid place in society.

What did you like about the performance? What did you dislike?

Dahl read with enthusiasm, but it was hard to differentiate between reading narrative and character voices at times.

You didn’t love this book--but did it have any redeeming qualities?

The closest to a redeeming feature is that there were four books for the price of one. But that meant that they're only a quarter as good as a single book.

Any additional comments?

I'm going to return this book and get (what I hope really is) the unabridged single edition of Charlie and the chocolate factory.

I suppose smaller children - with limited attention spans or don't know the stories - will enjoy them, but my kids who are big Chocolate factory fans, were sorely disappointed.

Abridged

This is an abridged version so cannot be followed with the actual book. This is frustrating as it was not clear when I bought it.

Terrible narration

My children couldn’t listen to this book as they were scared of the voice. Such a shame as it’s a great book but they just couldn’t get passed the voice... neither could I to be honest.

It was magical to listen Roald Dahl reading them!

It was so unique to listen the author storytelling his own tales! Simply wonderfully magical!
