Translated into over 50 languages, The Purpose Driven Life is far more than just a book; it is a guide to a spiritual journey that has transformed millions of lives. Once you take this journey, you’ll never be the same again.
2012 marks the 60th anniversary of the publication of C. S. Lewis’s classic, Mere Christianity. Having sold over half a million copies in the UK alone, his overview of Christianity has been imitated many times, but never outdone. Mere Christianity brings together Lewis’s legendary broadcasts from the war years; talks in which he set out simply to ‘"explain and defend the belief that has been common to nearly all Christians at all times."
The rise of secular gods presents the most serious challenge to the absolute claims of Christ since the founding of Christianity itself. The Christian worldview has not only been devalued and dismissed by modern culture, but its believers are openly ridiculed as irrelevant. In Jesus Among Secular Gods, Ravi Zacharias and Vince Vitale challenge the popular "isms" of the day, skillfully pointing out the fallacies in their claims and presenting compelling evidence for revealed absolute truth as found in Jesus.
On account of the superficial points of agreement between Islam and Christianity, many don't see how tremendously deep the divides between them really are, and fewer still have considered the evidence for each faith. How is jihad different from the Crusades? Can we know the life of Jesus as well as the life of Muhammad? What reason is there to believe in one faith over the other, and what difference can the Gospel really make?
Retracing his own spiritual journey from atheism to faith, Lee Strobel, former legal editor of the Chicago Tribune, cross-examines a dozen experts with doctorates from schools like Cambridge, Princeton, and Brandeis who are recognized authorities in their own fields. Strobel challenges them with questions like: How reliable is the New Testament? Does evidence for Jesus exist outside the Bible? Is there any reason to believe the resurrection was an actual event?
The author of 6 Gold Medallion award-winning books challenges Christians to become living answers to a world that desperately wants to know, what's so amazing about grace?

Before you could tuck it under your arm, before you could bring it up on your phone - you did not read scripture, you listened to it. For centuries, the only way to access God's word was to hear it read aloud in public gatherings. Today, many are blessed to own personal printed copies of the Bible, but there is a surprising benefit to hearing the scriptures read aloud, as it was for so many generations.
Would you believe it took nearly 500 years to translate the ESV (English Standard Version) Bible? That's because the ESV builds on the great translations of the past - including William Tyndale's New Testament of 1526 and the King James Version (KJV) of 1611. But the ESV Bible also builds on the best Christian scholarship of the last 100 years.
During a train trip from Chicago to Texas in the late 1940s, A.W. Tozer began to write The Pursuit of God. He wrote all night, and when the train arrived at his destination, the rough draft was done. The depth of this book has made it an enduring favorite.
Did Jesus really exist? Is there real historical evidence that demonstrates that He lived and actually said and did the things the Gospels record? Is there any validity to the speculative claims that the Jesus story was a myth borrowed from a variety of pagan cultures of the ancient world? In this follow-up to the book God's Not Dead (which inspired the movie), Man, Myth, Messiah looks at the evidence for the historical Jesus and exposes the notions of skeptics that Jesus was a contrived figure of ancient mythology.
This unabridged audio download edition of the eagerly anticipated sequel to Lee Strobel’s best-selling he Case for Christ finds the author investigating the nettlesome issues and doubts of the heart that threaten faith. In The Case for Faith, winner of the Gold Medallion Book Award, eight major topics are addressed including doubt, the problem of pain, and the existence of evil.
In a world increasingly indifferent to Christian truth, followers of Christ need to be equipped to communicate with those who do not speak their language or accept their source of authority. Gregory Koukl demonstrates how to get in the driver’s seat, keeping any conversation moving with thoughtful, artful diplomacy. You’ll learn how to maneuver comfortably and graciously through the minefields, stop challengers in their tracks, turn the tables and—most importantly—get people thinking about Jesus.
What can the call to discipleship, the adherence to the word of Jesus, mean today to the businessman, the soldier, the laborer, or the aristocrat? What did Jesus mean to say to us? What is his will for us today? Drawing on the Sermon on the Mount, Dietrich Bonhoeffer answers these timeless questions by providing a seminal reading of the dichotomy between "cheap grace" and "costly grace."
Dr. Sproul surveys the history of apologetics and demonstrates that reason and science are your allies in defending the existence of God and the historical truth claims of Jesus Christ.
In Encounters with Jesus, New York Times - best-selling author and renowned pastor Timothy Keller explores Jesus' answers to life's biggest questions by showing what happened to those who met Jesus personally. What is my purpose in life? Who am I meant to be? How can I live a successful life? Why is there so much wrong with our world today? Am I part of the problem? What can I do to help change that?
There are nine rooms in the House of Islam and the Wind of God's Spirit is blowing through every one of them. David Garrison spent three years travelling a quarter of a million miles through every corner of the Muslim world to investigate reports far and wide of Muslims turning to faith in Jesus Christ. In this amazing odyssey, Garrison gathered the stories of more than a thousand Muslim-background believers, asking them the question: What did God use to bring you to faith in Jesus Christ? Tell me your story.
You can believe because of the evidence, not in spite of it. For the first 35 years of his life, J. Warner Wallace was a devout atheist. After all, how can you believe a claim made about an event in the distant past for which there is little forensic evidence? Then Wallace realized something. Christianity was a lot like the cold cases he solved as a homicide detective - cold cases that turned out to have enough evidence, eyewitnesses, and records to solve.
The inspirational classic, More than a Carpenter, is now updated for a new generation of seekers with a fresh look, revised material, and a new chapter that addresses questions commonly raised today. Former skeptic Josh McDowell is now joined by his son Sean as they examine the evidence about Jesus. Is he really the Lord he claimed to be? How can we know for sure? More than a Carpenter offers arguments for faith from a skeptic turned believer.
Since its original publication in 1977, this modern classic has sold over 15 million copies, been translated into dozens of languages, and introduced countless people to the real Jesus. Now with new content that addresses questions raised by today's popular atheist writers.
I'd recommend this for every Christian and Non Christian.
For Christians there is enough bitesize information yo affirm your faithful and aid you when evangelising to atheists and theists of other faiths.
for the atheists this will get you started on evidence that Christ is who he says he is

love the narrator - great enthusiasm. book is very logical and contains all the important bits to construct the argument even though its abridged version. must read for any Christian.
This is a good book for someone who wants to accept Christianity but still looking for evidence. However, I find the evidence discussed here is a bit lame. The historical "evidence" here depends on the number of texts that support Christianity without validating the reliability of these texts and on a large number of prophecies that we cannot be sure if they were written before or after Jesus.
It is still a good book, trying its best to convince people of the undeniable evidence that it claims exists, while if you want to think objectively and not let yourself taken by the authors verbal excellency, you'll find the evidence as good as that of other religions (I'm trying not to name one). Atheists on the other side do not claim -as far as I know- that science is on their side as the author believes, but they rather refuse religion as an explanation and simply confess that they do not know.
Found important mistakes that are not present in the actual book thus audio book need to be corrected

Would you listen to More Than a Carpenter again? Why?
Yes. It was easy to listen to and full of information.
What other book might you compare More Than a Carpenter to and why?
Evidence that demands a verdict and I Don’t Have Enough Faith to be an Atheist. Both books are on apologetics and very informational. They’re right to the point. Although this book is much more brief and concise than the other two, they are similar.
Which scene was your favorite?
The book was too brief to separate by scenes.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
More than Just a Carpenter
Any additional comments?
I absolutely loved listening to this book, and I’ve already recommended it to many of my friends.
18 years ago I first read this book. I was an angry young women with a new family & a distrust in everything. This book led me to believe in God's Word. It answered many of my tough questions. It gave me facts I could study myself & it wasn't so big that it intimidated or overwhelmed me. I found that I could trust God, His Word, Spirit & finally His Son, Jesus the Christ. Since then, God has transformed me & given me a passion to share Him with others. I often use this book as a reference in my classes. I thank God for using people like Josh McDowell to teach others that God can be trusted, that we don't have to have blind faith & that Jesus really came for us. I can't say enough about this book. Students stay interested in it, adults find time for it. It's brief (relatively) but in depth. The chapters can stand alone, making it easy to take a portion at a time.
Very well told and easy to hear and understand. Information os true and so needed.
This book is definitely a classic, showing the reason behind believing in Christ. Unfortunately, the narrator goes too fast I had to listen to it at a slower setting.
Loved the story and finished in one day I would recommend it to anyone looking for what's missing in their life.
I really like the chapter who would die for a lie. It is really shows the conviction of the apostles that they were all willing to be beaten tortured and most of them martyred for Christ with out one of them backing down. I do wish this wasn't abridged. The book is less then 200 pages did it really need cut down more?
the honesty, the pure indisputable truth, was astounding! I am recommending to everyone!! this is especially helpful for those new to the faith.
The reading is great done by the orginal author's son.
The major problem with this is it is only parts of whole book. I got this with the intention of following along in my book. There are a lot of good missing details and some misread words.
If I had no intention of having a physical or digital copy of this book it would be fine, but it is differwnt from the actual book itself.
once again, this was an awesome book. I highly recommend it to everyone. believer or non-beleiver
