short but good

I had originally read the book a while ago and now enjoying the audio version. Good action from the beginning. Its insta-love but they had good chemistry. Simple but good plot.

Was written in the SS world so the addition of her characters wasn't appealing to me as I didn't know who they were but you can still follow along.

Narrators were great especially Jason Clarke

Fast paced action & love

I read the ebook last year & thoroughly enjoyed the story so jumped at the chance to listen to the audiobook & wasn’t disappointed.
Second book in the Red Team series written by the fantastic Riley Edwards. Student Olivia is a pawn in a much bigger game when she is kidnapped. Leo & Red Team swoop in to rescue her, he was the one to free her & they have an instant connection. Leo continues to protect Olivia as he tries to fight his feelings - but once the danger is lifted both are ready to go after what they want. Leo is definitely full on alpha & will stop at nothing to both protect Olivia & make her his. Olivia is likeable, a good girl who lost her way & went off the rails a little, she is honest with herself & her feeling.
The story & action is fast paced & well written, very enjoyable especially when narrated by the delicious voice of Jason Clarke, both narrators we’re great but Mr Clarke’s sexy tones just add that extra something.

A very pleasant audiobook

It was exactly what I expected. Medium heat–though lots of tension–some action, military jargon, alpha males. Maybe I’d have liked to have a little more depth, like some deep theme running through the whole story, because there was potential for it.

The characters were also a bit two dimensional, more stereotypes than real people. At least they were different enough that you could differentiate them, since there are so many of them. Though it wasn’t too confusing, I felt that I would have appreciated it more if I had read the first book of the series.

It was your regular instalove, with the added bonus of an alpha male who care about the girl because it’s his job, then because she may be more than just a job. It was sweet to watch Leo change in the course of the story.

The narration was impeccable. Both narrators are masters at their craft, and while the male narrator nailed the military alpha, the female narrator did a great job with Olivia–both when she’s strong and when she needs help. A very pleasant audiobook.

So instalove I have whiplash

and so it begins

I adored this book, a deep rooted instalove romance filled with danger, intrigue, suspense and steam, and the narration adds so much to the story.

The beginning (carried on slightly from the last book but only slightly) throws us right into the thick of it with Leo (Panther) working to find and retrieve the daughter of his AG and a close family friend. This seemingly trivial case gets immediately turned on its head and the entire team are brought in to solve yet another threat and through this Leo finds his “one”.

From the beginning their interactions were swoon worthy, and I mean total alpha badass protector. Whilst at times you might wonder how far Leo will take his initial reluctance, it’s once Wolf et al are brought into it that Caroline breaks it down so neatly for Olivia/Us. Seeing Leo transition from pure operator to giving his heart to Olivia is sheer delight, and boy once that man has made his mind up there is simply no direction but forward, at speed!! Jason Clarke really did marshmallow amazingly, and that is the only way to really describe Leo whenever he is with Olivia. Yet the strength that comes through too is pure gold.

Olivia is such a strong person, much more than she gives herself credit for and whilst having some regrets about her past behaviour, that’s not the persons she wants to be, nor the person she really is and so her transition into belonging to Leo whilst retaining her inner strength and identity makes for a great story. Carly Robins portrays Olivia so well, her youth is clear at the beginning yet throughout the story she gains her inner strength and seems to mature as the story progresses.

A fantastic story with a fabulous hea. Highly recommended.

Fantastic story!

Protecting Olivia is a wonderfully written and riveting romantic suspense. The storyline is entertaining, fast-paced, suspenseful, passionate, with the perfect balance of romance, mystery, twist, and turns to keep you thoroughly engaged. I Love the main characters; they were charming, captivating and with depth and vulnerabilities. Leo is a sexy and capable alpha protecting Olivia from threat and danger. Oliva's life had gone off the course; even so, she was a likeable character doing her best to overcome challenges. Together, they had a pretty solid connection, and I really enjoyed listening to their journey.

The narration was flawless! Carly Robins did a fantastic job with the characters. As for Jason Clarke, he stole the show. I absolutely loved his performance. I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of this audiobook, and one I'm definitely recommending.

Action filled from the first word!

Riley Edwards does not waste words building up to the action. The book starts with Olivia kidnapped and Leo, along with his teammates, working to save her. Add to that the insta-attraction between the two and the story is loads of fun! If you are a fan of Susan Stoker's Seal of Protection, you will love revisiting some of those characters as well, though you don't need to know their stories to enjoy this book.

Despite all of that, I just wished a little more time was spent on Olivia and Leo's relationship. Their relationship is explained as fast-paced but, in my opinion, a few details would not have gone amiss. For instance, there are hints about Leo's interests and practices in the bedroom which are not fully explored in this book.

Overall, this story is adventurous, romantic and fun! Cannot wait to read the rest of the series!

Great

This book follows Panther (Leo) who is charged with rescuing Olivia the daughter of a White House aid. As soon as Leo sees Olivia he knows she will be his and Olivia feels the same way . Really enjoy the Red Team books the men are as sexy af and when they fall in love they fall fast and hard.
