The narrator being changed and the terrible accents used for Daniel and Jason are really making me struggle with this series that I once loved!! I can barely tell Jason from Daniel and now Daniel sounds like a right miserable man! Really disappointed 😞

I have listened to the first 10 books and enjoyed the stories and narration. I stopped listening after 20 minutes of book 11 as I couldn't bear the new narrator. I bought the book and read it instead! It's a shame as I won't be listening to any more or buying the books (too expensive to get them all).

Good story

I have been enjoying listening to this series of books, but unfortunately they have now changed the narrator. So far, most of the characters she voices are good, but unfortunately one main character, the American surgeon, Lord Redmond sounds like an American gangster which really jars. I am persevering for the sake of the stories, but may have to switch to reading the books instead.

I am sure Alex is a good narrator but she cannot do accents, the American accent was truly awful. It spoilt the story for me.

I think it's always a mistake to change readers. I don't like this voice and wouldn't have downloaded the series if she had read the first one. the writing is, as usual, good. I will look for this author on kindle.
