I really enjoyed this book, which appears to be the last in the series. I won’t complain, there have been 17 books. I’ve enjoyed the characters and the small snippets of historical beliefs and social behaviours. Quite a believable story.

The book was read well.

Movement of time has areas where it has spread up, others where it’s slowed down, but it’s really easy to follow and make sense of it.

Not overly gruesome in details, which I like. Easy listening.

Loved it all, set in days gone by where fear & misunderstanding of folklore & gossip can cause so much pain & suffering, especially to immigrant communities. Heartfelt sadness but a great outcome in the end.

I started listening to this as it was in the free section. It really is bad. Everything about is awful. Someone should tell the narrator how to pronounce the word Brougham !
