About this listen

A few days before Daniel Haze is to be married, he and Jason Redmond are drawn into society’s sordid underbelly when the son of Essex’s most violent crime boss is found dead in an ancient wood. They must wade through a long list of suspects to determine who hunted down Tristan Carmichael and murdered him in a way that was surely a message to his powerful father.

With members of the criminal organization infighting to gain control, Jason and Daniel must solve the case before there are more casualties—including Daniel’s wedding.

I like that they go back to BirchHill where everything started. The characters have evolved so much, but the interactions with the other people in the village are great. I seem to be fond of Harriet and Mol.
Good, easy listen, and who doesn't like a wedding!

I love this crime fighting duo and the narration is excellent - I can’t wait for book 17 to come out.

I’ve listened to all in this series and this one is particularly excellent:

The story line was great and kept me guessing and with the new characters- they had me laughing out loud.

Still not loving the new narrator - the lady cannot do an American accent if her life depended on it.
