"He said, she said, they said, we said"

Felt like every other word was "... said". I really wish the author had just consulted a thesaurus and figured even one other way of expressing vocab than just "said said said."

Too close to Hope, can she solve this one?

Once more in the world of Hope Hadley, I listened to this audiobook, following her journey again. This story involved the murder of a friend, making it harder for Hope to think straight. I enjoyed the telling of this story through the narration of Stephanie Quinn and the words of Meredith Potts.

I received a copy of this audiobook as a gift, and this is my unsolicited review.

Ok

Murder Hits Close to Home is a short cozy mystery. I usually enjoy these little books, but this one grated on my nerves a bit. The storyline was good and I enjoyed the regular characters, but the dialogue used the word ‘said’ ad nauseam. It was so obviously overused that my husband picked up on it as he walked through the kitchen. This is a good book that needs a little tweaking.

This was a very entertaining listen!

I really enjoy Meridith Potts' work. Like usual, this was an entertaining listen with an excellent production. The storyline was well done and I must say that after several guesses, the murder came as quite a surprise to me. My review is very late (apologies to the author), but I've been spending more time listening than writing, If you are not familiar with Potts' work, I encourage you to try it - hard copy / ebook / or audible. This production was excellent.

On a wild goose chase

Very good story and to make a good friend go through everything to prove her friend was innocent when in reality she was guilty for murdering someone. It was a very surprising ending and I enjoyed it!

Siblings investigating a murder together

Loved the book, and the narrator. What could be better than siblings investigating a murder together? Not much. You will enjoy it with a little twist on the fact that these are adults not teens like Hardy Boys. Lol. And it will be solved then there is a reward of baked goods.

Murder Hits Close to Home

I enjoyed listening to this book, did find there could have been less 'I' said and 'you' said, as you know this from listening to the voices. There could have been more suspects, so that the murderer would not be so obvious, but overall a nice cosu mystery.

Enjoyable Cozy Listen

This is a very enjoyable cozy mystery by Meredith Potts. Hope Hadley quickly becomes involved in a murder investigation when one of her friends is murdered. She must get to the bottom of this terrible crime, but must wade through all the lies and deception to get to the truth. A good mystery with a killer I didn't suspect, and the narration was very good which made for a very enjoyable and fun listen.
