About this listen

Moorings is the third in a chilling series of books which will rapidly convert followers of L. J. Ross, Faith Martin, Joy Ellis and Helen H. Durrant into David Blake devotees.

When Harry Falcon, a wealthy boatyard owner and decorated World War Two veteran, is found drowned in his bath, DI John Tanner and DC Jenny Evans start by questioning his two sons, each with a motive for wanting him dead. But when the elder son is found with his head smashed in under a toppled yacht, and the younger son has been talking to a local property developer, one who’d spent months trying to buy the yard from his father, the investigation soon leads them towards a dark and dangerous secret, one which nobody can quite believe. Set within the Norfolk Broads, this fast-paced British detective series is a murder mystery that will have you guessing until the very end, when the last shocking twist is finally revealed.

Again enjoying the series of books from this author whom I've only just come across. Love the chemistry between Tanner and Jenny. Great characters. Great story lines. Love the humour, proper laugh out load conversation between colleagues, which I can only imagine happens in real life scenarios. Also the ability to describe the criminal underworld and the crimes committed and their downfall. Excellent choice of narrator too, really brings the books to life, and his portrayal of each character is brilliant. Looking forward to read the next one in the series.

Excellent listening as per usual

Firstly I would recommend as an enjoyable story…but be prepared to be frustrated by the very unbelievable storyline and convenient twists for the ending…very good narration also.

Enjoyable…but not believable!

I enjoyed Jonathan Keeble's narrative, but there were aspects of the storyline that were a little far fetched, eg that a detecive constable would be on investigating a murder carrying a handbag with her everywhere !

A little far fetched
