Summary
Kara has serious doubts about herself after the birth of twins. She had no idea it would be so hard taking care of one baby, let alone two. With her self-esteem fading into oblivion, she's forced to choose between being a mom and having the career she always wanted. Kara is stubborn and refuses to ask anyone for help, even her husband.
Dave loves his wife and new daughters more than anything, but since the girls were born, he feels Kara slipping further away from him. Will Kara realize she doesn't have to conquer the world alone and find her way back to Dave? Will her meddling mother-in-law use this opportunity to sabotage her and Dave's marriage?

I am loving this series! Melanie James has her own soap opera on Eveiller Drive, and each story has something that is easy to relate to. These couples are so true to life, she could be writing about any of us! This story features Kara who recently had twins. She is struggling with being a new mom, her new figure and that feeling of losing her identity. With this slump, her confidence is low and she doesn't feel desirable. Dave, her husband sees her in completely different eyes. When Kara and Dave get the chance to have a weekend away, will they find their new normal? These nuggets are the perfect listen for my walks. I am completely invested in the story, love the friendships these women on the street have and the way Melanie James solves their problems. It's steam and real life all melded together!
Holly Jackson brings it all to life with a fabulous narration. She is wonderful and her storytelling is spot on. I love her voices and she is perfectly cast.

Communication in the couple 101
The title says it all. This story is all about daring to talk about what is wrong or what we perceive as wrong in the couple. I loved how the group of friends is also an essential part of this story.

Brilliant short
I love how the issues that the main characters are going through are real. They are issues that so many of us go through and try to overcome. Throw in some earbud melting heat and you Have a series that i want to keep listening to.
