Fantastically gripping
Really gripping who (and why) dunnit with an AI twist and interesting characters who I'm keen to get to know better. I can't wait for the next installment!

Amazingly good
I watched the show‘ between the covers’ & although I probably wouldn’t have chosen this book (because of the genre) without the recommendation I am so glad i did…. The best book I have ever listened to on audible!!! Such an amazing story & so well written I have also ordered the paper copy to read again !

A bit different but in a good way
A different concept of a book and good narrator to tell the story. Not too taxing and both funny and tragic in parts. Worth a try.

Very clever AI mix
I enjoyed this book more than I thought I would. The mix of detective novel and AI persona was very clever. The storyline was rather predictable and I guessed the end plot quite early on before it happened. However, the actual twists at the end were good. Defo worth the listen and a good debut novel.

Unputdownable
This book was suggested by my bookclub and I don’t enjoy sci-fi so I thought I would get it out of the way to move onto one of my choice,however I really enjoyed the way the concept of AI was dealt with.
My disbelief was changed into how brilliant it would be if the sorting of data could be dealt with in minutes and then applied to police work.
It was a pleasant surprise to hear the midlands accent as it appears to be verboten in any other audible books!
I look forward to the next book.

A stand out crime novel
This crime story sets itself apart. It’s relevant in so many ways, terrifying and the ending is completely left field. I fell in love with Lock a little bit and Kat’s story which pins everything together is as lovely as it is sad.

Best listen for a very long time
LOVED this book. I wasn't sure I would but I got completely immersed in the storyline. Crime meets new age technology - a relevant subject with all the new advances out there.
