Excellent pacy and gripping novel, brilliantly read by Clare Corbett. I enjoyed this as much as Apple Tree Yard and found it difficult to stop listening once I’d started.

I was hooked from start to finish. Brilliant prose (as usual) and superb narration helping to immerse the listener into a modern spy-on-the-run thriller as Bird traverses the icy wastes of Northern Europe. Doughty subtly picks up the baton that le Carre has gently placed on the ground.
