Good storyline
This book has a good strong storyline and likeable characters. I will warn you it has a cliffhanger. Good narration from both Maya and Mark.

Written very formally, makes the narration odd
I enjoyed the storyline and characters, with great plot development and a good start to a new world.
I only have 1 major issue with the overall performance and that is , onsidering this is an MC book, the characters speak like they're from 19th century England. The tone of the writing is at complete odds with the story, making it difficult to connect with the characters.

Ok MC story, ok narration
This was an MC book but started with the relationship between Cade and Emma. When they were young, they were best friends even though there was a significant age difference between them. Family issues tore them apart and they didn't see each other again until years later when Emma needed Cade's help. Cade was now president of an MC and of course, wanted to help her. There were a few twists that were interesting and the underlying story was well done and kept my attention.
There were a couple of things that detracted from the story. First, the dialogue seemed a bit childish, especially for people in their 30s. Emma especially seems so juvenile. Ice isn’t very nice and honestly, for someone who expected Emma to wait for him, to eventually be his and then for him to expect her to be ok when he was being intimately serviced by someone else in front of her accidentally is just unbelievable. Their relationship gets better but first impressions left a really sour impression.
I bought the ebook but was given the opportunity to listen to the audiobook. I've never listened to Mark and Maya Bravo narrate before. The narration was ok- both tried to differentiate their voices for the male and female voices but they were a little jarring and not realistic.

Fantastic!!
I love MC Romance it's one of my favorite tropes. I really enjoyed the characters and the plot. The book grabbed my interest and left me wanting more. 🎧AudiobookObsession

Narration needed to be better
The story was there! Loved it! The narration, especially by the guys, could have been a lot better. His pronunciation was horrible, slurry many words. It was hard to get into the story because of the narration but was able to put that aside and finally get into the actually story and it was great!

Decent story and narration
I feel that Mark Bravo really brought the characters to life as I saw them in my head. I think that Maya Bravo probably did too, but I just didn't bond with Emma whatsoever so I didn't appreciate the narration quite as much.
The story is decent and I love Ice's character, but Emma just rubbed me the wrong way from the start. I liked how and where the story was set and all the twists and turns but couldn't get past Emma. And don't get me started on where it was left at the end....

Wow! What an end!
I didn’t read that cliffhanger part so it was a bit more exciting when it ended. The story of Kade and Emma, a bit disturbing at the beginning takes body and turns into an interesting one. There’s a nemesis lurking in the shadows breaking havoc, while Kade at last gets his girl. Or does he? Action and suspense combined with a sweet romance.

Great start.
I received book 5 of this series via a promo code and got curious about the beginning of the series, as it turned out I already had the ebook version of this novel waiting to be read, so I whisper syncd to enjoy the audible version.
I was not disappointed, I never really watched Sons of Anarchy but I did listen to the Devils Blaze MC recently and this book was similar. Cade and Emma's story was so sweet and as soon as they got over their hurt over past behaviours (suckers in love but not admitting it because she was too young for him at the time) they pretty much fell in love very quickly. Which is good because Emma's college roommate has been kidnapped by a rival club and her crazy ex fiancé is out to get his revenge over being cast aside.
I don't want to give too much away because spoilers etc but Maya and Mark Bravo both do a great job bringing the characters to life.

Ice and Emma!
Ice and Emma have been friends since they were very young.
Caden (Ice) has loved her since he was a teen, but because she was so much younger than him, he pushed her away. One too many times.
She comes to him for help when her best friend disappears. He can’t believe his luck, because, although it’s been 11 years, he still lives her and wants her.
This was a good story. I liked the characters and the drama of the story. I was not ready for the book to be done where it ended, but there’s more to the story!
Mark Bravo and Maya Bravo are new narrators for me and I’m on the fence. I’ll have to hear another, I think.

ICE
This was a good beginning to the Knights of Silence MC series. It was interesting and held my attention from beginning to end. There was danger, suspense, romance and some hot sex. It does end in a cliffhanger. I am looking forward to listening to the next book in the series. Mark and Maya Bravo did a good job bringing this story to life.
