Summary

Taking a brass tacks approach to communication, How to Have Confidence and Power in Dealing with People explains how to interact with others as they really are, not as you would like them to be. The goal is to get what you want from them successfully - be it cooperation, goodwill, love or security.

Les Giblin, a recognized expert in the field of human relations, has devised a method for dealing with people that can be used when relating with anyone - parents, teachers, bosses, employees, friends, acquaintances, even strangers. Giblin shows step by step how to get what you want at any time and in ways that leave you feeling good about yourself. Moreover, the people who have given you want you want wind up feeling good about themselves, too. The result? Nobody gets shortchanged. It's a win-win situation.

Each chapter includes a handy summary, so there's absolutely no chance of missing the book's key points. You can also use these recaps to refresh your memory after you've finished the book. Instead of feeling miserable about your interpersonal skills, listen to this best-selling guide and learn to succeed with people in every area of your life.

Les Giblin wrote a masterpiece

I can't recommend this book enough to anybody that wants to do anything successful in life. Also, I couldn't help but think that Pat Reilly sounds so much like Dick Van Dike.

Mostly trash, and filler. Do not buy!

Would you try another book from Les Giblin and/or Pat Reilly?

If this is an example of what to expect then no, never.

What do you think your next listen will be?

A book with actual content and not 85% of it informing the reader/listener of the importance of being able to deal with people. I KNOW it's important that is why I made the purchase ... STOP wasting my time with stories and study results concluding its importance and share the tools.

What character would you cut from How to Have Confidence and Power in Dealing with People?

Excellent Narrator! Excellent Book!

This is one of the few life changing books when it comes to dealing with people and relationships. Lots of useful information to help.

More to the Point than How to Win Friends...

I like Les Giblin a lot! What this book does quite simply, is share Dale Carnegie's message in How to Win Friends and Influence People in a more to the point and understandable way. Comparing the two books, both of which I've listened to, I got more out of and enjoyed this book more. The messages are the same IMO, and equally good.

This audio book is awesome. One I start listening

It brought to life what I read before. I definately got something this time by listening what I didn't get from reading. Thanks.
