This Book Changed My LIfe.

I'm a chronic procrastinator. I'm consistently pinned to my chair, half laying in it and mumbling about not being able to do anything. If I even think about doing something I really want to do, I have a difficult time raising just my hand. Describing this book as life changing is not hyperbole. The idea to set extremely low goals runs counter to intuition - two pages of a classic book, meaningless; one push up; meaningless. The book is very short, but I appreciate that he didn't try to fluff it up just to make it longer (any longer and it probably would've started getting repetitive since the concept is simple).

This book can simply change your life.

The science is easy to understand and the way he explains it is intuitive! I haven't gotten to the strategies yet, but I can see that his explanation of the science is well backed up. I've heard some of it before but I like how he explains it in a non-condescending and understanding way, I love this book! I started implementing small changes while listen the book, and it took no effort at all. I'm taking it slow (as suggested) and not depriving myself at all. My overall goal is living a healthy lifestyle. Well researched and presents information I haven't seen in other books on the subject. Well worth the listen!!!

Best book ever on habits.

So many great ideas in this book. It will take me a few years to integrate many of them into my life. I have already firmed up my workout consistency by identifying myself as "a person who never misses a workout. . it is very easy to listen and apply to your everyday living. He give you powerful tips, encourage good habits, and inspiring true stories. I just received my book and definitely look forward to listen it. Habits has really made me think about how I live my life and what habits are leading me to success or hindering my progress. The book has a good balance of references, arguments, and concepts. There's a lot of useful information and it is presented well.

My life is already changing

It may listen kinda mushy, with all its talk of empowerment. But it has done one thing for me that no other book has. It gets to the root of procrastination and motivation problems, and you realize you are not wrong. I bought this book several weeks ago and have now listen it twice. I've recommended it to many other people at my work. It's a book not just for procrastinators, but for anyone who occasionally finds Mondays depressing, and who feels that work is taking over their lives. An absolutely incredible look into the how and why of personal accomplishment and the motivation movement.

Truly Helping Me Even more!!!

I started tracking a few habits for over two years, and have seen the effects when it works, but I was still curious to see if I could improve and learn from this book. Very glad I did. . Every chapter is packed with actionable plans. I have purchased 3 more for gifts. I do wish the habits journal was avalble now while all information is still fresh. But I do have a stack of notes to refer to! . Thank you for “going the distance” and delivering a powerful book on habits. What I love about this book is that it give concrete strategies and tools that can be implemented immediately to change habits.

Great book! I'll admit I really did not know!!!!

I'm not just talking about money. I am talking about advancing in a significant way, every area of your life. What an amazing book to help out just when I needed some inspiration. I am one of those people always looking to biohack life and get more out of it. WOW! An easy, flowing read sprinkled with much wisdom.

This was an interesting listen. It delves into the many ways businesses use human nature and our predictability in terms of habit forming to market products. I can't describe just how much this book put into perspective for me and opened my eyes to how simultaneously easy-- and yet difficult-- behavior change can be. As somebody who is very routine-oriented, I took for granted the process of establishing habits, yet this book made it very clear that the cue that precedes the habit and the reward that follows the habit ought not be neglected. It is an excellent book analysing how habbits work and how you can change them. The listen gets a deep insight into the mecanics of the habbit suppprted by many examples and the scientific research.

Excellent body of work

LIke another reviewer said I read this book not really expecting to really like it. There was much skepticism on my part. I read it feeling it would read like all the other self-help books I've read. I'd get a big inspiration high only to fall from it without having achieved much and What an amazing book to help out just when I needed some inspiration. I am one of those people always looking to biohack life and get more out of it. This book gives me not only inspiration but applicable skills to move! It gives not only opinions but actual habits to adapt to get more out of every day. i recommended this book.

Habits changed my life.

It's strange that I have heard this method subtly throughout my life... but never in this much detail. I'm relieved that this is actually something that works. So far it's work for me, which is a major breakthrough. I'm one who always pushes hard to motivate myself and now I know exactly why it's so unreliable. I've tried everything else but this method really hits home and the logic behind it is so clear. Another great book by Stephen Guise! Filled with real life information on how to succeed in your goals by not setting up huge, insurmountable ones, but rather starting out with mini, attainable ones, that make you succeed, and want to keep going.

This book really did change my life!

If you are looking for sugar coating excuses don't buy this book. The entire premise is that you are ready to make changes and want some guidance to do so I found this book incredibly helpful. I have several "how to get tasks done" books and they all (for the most part) say the same thing. This author helped me understand the "why" behind some of my behaviors. I have been looking for this type of help for quite sometime now. I have meditated for many years but felt a more focused direction was needed

Great book. Helpful and Entertaining

The dieting industry has a lot to say regarding what we put into our bodies. But each of these diets falls short when we can’t sustain them for the long term. If it can’t be a lifetime commitment, it’s doomed to failure. Not sure if this would help for someone with full-blown food addiction, but for those of us who find ourselves gradually sliding towards unhealthy, this book lays out strategies to slide back the other way towards healthy This book is great for anyone who doesn't know where to start and for those who have trouble staying on the wagon. I've been a life-long yo-yo dieter (by no fault of my own - as I learned).

I was given a free copy of this book in exchange for a review. Before I was honored with this offer, I already had this book in my list to buy it. I really like to have facts backed up by science, and this book is great in that sense. This book is phenomenal for those who want to try different methods to creating better habits and life choices. The Habit ... and I am anxious to get started on some new habits and losing some old ones! I grabbed this book when it was announced on the facebook group, Selfication

Giver of good daily habits

Easy listen! This has great information. This touches on topics that everyone should learn, the power of positive thinking, accountability, self-awareness, and how it influences your life. Great life lessons in general. This book really challenged the way I think. To be honest, I haven't implemented much because I'm still struggling to find my passion. I listened to the book recording while going through the written book and I learned a lot.

I listen this book. It makes a lot of ..

Loving this book and recommending to my own nutrition clients! I had already been moving to a more realistic approach with them, and this just cemented what I felt in my gut---gone are the days when I am willing to put someone on an entire life overhaul regimen...only to see them "fail" and "fall off the wagon" later for not being perfect. This book is amazing. It's well written and fun to read. Most importantly is that his ideas really work. You have to retrain your brain for lasting success in anything and this book shows you how. It's fun, simple, and empowering.

How to succeed by calming down.

I listen this book. It makes a lot of sense. I stopped smoking last year, by focusing on not smoking one hour and one day at a time. I will become healthier and lose weight with the common sense strategies in this book This book is amazing. It's well written and fun to listen. Most importantly is that his ideas really work. You have to retrain your brain for lasting success in anything and this book shows you how. It's fun, simple, This is an exceptional book that will change your life. I bought this book the day it came out. I did not want to write a review after just reading the book. I've always struggled with my weight my entire life. Throughout school years I'd turn to food for emotional support, and once in college I'd try to start working out.

A great insight into human behavior.

Amazing combination of reality, truth and just plain great stories! The book is packed with information that is helpful to any human for use in personal life or in business or any other arena. And all that is provided in a entertaining way with many examples based on life stories. He talks about how *believing* you can change is a hugely important element, and I agree. First off any book which explains why we do things with a structured and clear reasoning will always score high with me. I had lent this book to someone I knew who didn't return it so I bought it again because I want it to be in my book collection for future reference. This book is definitely worth your time.

I found this approach very helpful.

I must say, I based my purchase merely on reviews and not because I was searching for a particular life improvement strategy, or because I heard of the bestselling status of the book. I’m glad I listen this book and learned a lot from what the author shares with an exciting, simple, This book changed my life!! I have established 4 mini habits and have been doing great for the two months and I have accomplished so much more by taking the approach outlined in this book. I’ve always relied on motivation to do things and I didn’t know that it was the biggest mistake I was commiting on a daily basis.

Very insightful and useful information.

How does one describe art, science and wisdom perfectly blended and articulated allowing for the complete capture of a reader's mind and heart? This was an interesting listen. It delves into the many ways businesses use human nature and our predictability in terms of habit forming to market products. . Helped me understand some of what goes on with behavior that seems to be hard to manage, but really exists for a perfectly logical reason once you step back a bit and know more about how the mind and mind/body work.
