this book had me gripped

This book had me gripped from the beginning. It gave me chills and was a harsh story. I couldn't stop thinking about this book when I was busy with other tasks. This story will live with me in my mind for a long time.

Love, Love, Love!!!

I was gripped the whole way through such a brilliant story definitely one of Cecelia's best. Only problem is I don't think I can wait a whole year for the sequel!!

Oh dear!

very disappointed with this book. I normally love Cecelia Ahern, but I really struggled with this & found the narrative annoying. 🙁

Great idea but...

I thought the ending was disappointing leaving too much unresolved and sorry but if I hear the phrase 'my heart was racing in my chest' once more I might scream 😊 otherwise really good concept

Great book, dreadful ending

I really enjoyed this book. It was gripping. A bit “handmaids tale” but very good nonetheless. However, when I was listening to it it suddenly ended when I thought there must still be a few hours to go! I don’t understand what happened, really. Did the author just get bored and decide to finish it off hurriedly?! I was completely shocked. Ruined it for me, overall. Feel ripped off. What a waste! It could’ve had a great ending.

Good but...

I couldnt helpt but feeling something was about to happen but it never did. Although having now read Perfect (the follow up to this book) I can honestly say this entire book is a warm up to the second. The so the star ratings are based on both books as a whole story really as I thoroughly enjoyed the ending - just a bit of advice I guess just stick it out! The second book will be worth it

Thought provoking

Cecelia Ahern is an amazing writer. I have read a couple of her books and this one is quite disturbing.. It took me a few chapters to realise what was going on,and then got compulsive reading, I look forward to reading more of her books

Very Bored!

Fell asleep ,a very slow paced book, not what I expected at all. The idea seemed good enough though....

Unexpected from Ahern

I hadn't read the synopsis bit downloaded this for a summer listen. I relied on Ahern's reputation for an easy-listen romance.
Was surprised but not disappointed by this break from her usual norms.
Don't agree with the decision to split the story over 2 books... Each novel cannot be read without the other.
Due to writing style and narration, couldn't always work out if the characters were speaking aloud or monologuing internally.

couldn't stop listening!

The is one of the most exciting books I've ever listened to. a lot of books waffle on in between the story to drag it out but this one definitely does not. it keeps you engaged through out the whole book. the narrator is easy to listen to and captures the character. I loved it.
