Story
Skye Philips and Jesse Hamilton have a complicated relationship. They’ve been neighbours, best friends and even briefly married. But ever since Skye returned to the beautiful shores of Jewel Island to help her sisters Aria and Clover run their family hotel, she doesn’t know where she stands with Jesse. Summary
Meaningful, moving and magical - the classic best-selling love story.
Everyone needs a guardian angel....
Some people wait their whole lives to find their soul mates. But not Holly and Gerry. Childhood sweethearts, they could finish each other's sentences and even when they fought, they laughed. No one could imagine Holly and Gerry without each other.
Until the unthinkable happens. Gerry's death devastates Holly. But as her 30th birthday looms, Gerry comes back to her. He's left her a bundle of notes, one for each of the months after his death, gently guiding Holly into her new life without him, each note signed PS, I Love You. As the notes are gradually opened, and as the year unfolds, Holly is both cheered up and challenged. The man who knows her better than anyone sets out to teach her that life goes on.
With some help from her friends, and her noisy and loving family, Holly finds herself laughing, crying, singing, dancing - and being braver than ever before. Life is for living, she realises - but it always helps if there's an angel watching over you.

Great book
This is one of my favourite books, i have read it many times and seen the film a few times also. The book is 100x better than the film.
I really enjoyed listening, the performance was very good and the narrator had a very nice voice, which makes all the difference. There are a lot of books I can't listen too because of the narrators voice.

This book made me cry!
Only 1 other book has ever made me cry, but this..Wow!
I cried so many times. The book is written with so much emotion that you really feel that you actually know the characters.
I really really loved this book and didn't want it to end.
I've never seen the film, it's on my ' to watch ' list, although now...I'm not sure that I want to watch it as I can't imagine that it will surpass the book!
This book is a must must MUST listen too.
The lady that reads the book to you has such a lovely lovely Irish voice too.

A great listen
Having read some of Cecelia Ahern's later novels I thought I would buy this for a long plane journey. I am so pleased I did! Whilst you can tell that this is an early novel, it could have done with some editing in places, it doesn't detract from Cecelia's ability to tell Holly's story with empathy and emotion.
It has me laughing out loud and quietly sobbing, but I didn't want to stop listening until I got to the end.

For fans of Jojo Moyes
A really good story of how one woman copes with the death of her husband through letters he wrote before his passing. There’s also support from family and friends who help Holly as she navigates through life seeking work, holiday fun and Christmas celebrations, all without her childhood sweetheart. Very well narrated by Amy Creighton.

Dull
I couldn’t wait for this book to finish! I ended up sleeping to it on a flight just to get to the end.
If you’re a fan of slice of life then you’ll like this. For me, I couldn’t bring myself to care. The only good bit was 45mins before the end of the bloody book! If it wasn’t for the Audible version doing a great Irish accent I would have definitely abandoned this one.
2 stars because I liked the characters. The story was just dull. I didn’t cry. Predictable. Uninspired.
Another one that makes me wonder why I’m trying to read other genres.
