Publisher's Summary

After an unexpected twist of fate, All-Star catcher Easton Wylder is left questioning the loyalty of everyone around him.

Even the woman who shares his bed, Scout Dalton.

But if Easton thought being uprooted to the last place he expected was the only challenge life had to throw at him, he was dead wrong.

With an ailing shoulder and his career in limbo, his decision to make an unexpected change leads him to question everything - Scout's love, family loyalties, and whether he can conquer the one obstacle he's never been able to overcome. The secret he's never shared with anyone.

He may be a man pushed to his limits, but he's hell-bent on proving his worth no matter the cost.

"In my eyes better than book 1"

Book 2 in the Player duo and my heart goes out for Easton Wylder. If I hadn't have fallen in love with him in The Player, I'd definitely be head over heals in love with him after reading The Catch. The Catch answers all the questions I didn't realise I had from the previous book, it put the whole story in perspective for me and also added a little angst and challenge to the chemistry emitted by Easton and Scout. Covering some sensitive issues that had me snivelling quietly into my hankie, K Bromberg has given me everything I felt was missing in book 1, and I finished the book with a smile on my face, happy that I decided to finish the duet (I was in two minds after the first book, which yes, I thought was good, but I needed to feel more, book 2 gave me that feeling, you know the one, where is this book going and why can't I stop reading). Again told in dual POV with wonderful characters, an excellent story, lovely writing and lots of passion. This book cannot be read as a standalone, book 1, The Player should be read first. Perfect narration. I love these guys.

    "5 The Catch Stars"

I am left with a full heart after this book.

I said it before I am not a fan of cliffy’s and well that still holds true but… wow these books were phenomenal I can forgive the cliffy. ;)

Easton really surprised me in this book, because I felt in the first book he held back so much. With this book he let it all hang out, sure he took time for himself when needed and I can’t fault the guy for that he had to work through things on his own before he could let Scout in.

Phew and Scout she was awesome she let Easton have the time he needed and she would seek him out when she knew he needed that too. She really goes through a lot in this book more so because of the health issue her father was having. You see her struggle and I liked that Easton was there for her when she needed him. Very much liked that she was there for Easton without judgment that was a surprise to me and it made me like her all the more for it.

What a great end to a two book series, it tied everything up but still left us with so much to think about. A full heart.

Total fan of the narration too both Andi and Joe have that special something that brings this book to life in our ears. I can’t think of a better duo to have done this book justice.

*You don't have to like my review but its 100% my opinion, and I am allowed to have it.*

    "OK romance, but a cliffhanger"

This is one of my pet irritations. a book that is incomplete unless you buy the rest of the story. This story is incomplete without also listening to The Player.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I would absolutely recommend to anyone that likes not only sports romances but to someone that likes books that make them feel a wide range of emotions.

Which character – as performed by Andi Arndt and Joe Arden – was your favorite?

Scout and Easton because they really made me feel what they were going through.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes, this is on of those stories that pulls you in and you just have to know how it ends.

"Unexpected twists that will keep you listening"

This is book two in the series and you must read the first book prior to this one as this picks up where book one ended in a cliffhanger. I thought I was going to be able to predict a bunch of things in this book based on events from the first book but I was so glad I was wrong. What Easton and Scout deal with wasn’t at all what I thought. I actually found myself glued to the narration more in this book than the first story as we learned about the secrets and unanswered questions from the first. Of course the narrating duo of Joe Arden and Andi Arndt did another awesome job in bringing this emotional story to life. They hit a homerun with the telling of this story full of surprises. Getting around the bases were most definitely hiding unexpected twists from start to end. I look forward to more from this author as well as these narrators.

    "Endearing and Heartwarming "

This is the second book of a two part series. You’ve probably seen the other reviews expressing their annoyance with having to purchase two different titles for the entire story. I agree that it can be such a disappointment to realize you’re reading a cliffhanger. However, do not let that deter you from this story. It’s such an endearing story of love, incredible heartache, and redemption. At first glance, its seems like this is another cliche story of an cocky athlete and the unaware physical therapist. I assure the the female lead was just as strong as her male counterpart. She held her own as the compelling story of two people searching for love in all the wrong places unfolded. The characters are sexy but relatable in terms of life struggles and family issues. I couldn’t put this one down, and I hope you enjoy this story as much as I did.

I have read and reread and reread this duet of books. I am sure I will be reading them again.
    The story is wonderful.
Andi and Joe has ruined all other audio books for me because unless they are the narrators I just can’t get through the book. They are the absolute best.
Listen to these 2 books. You will not be sorry.
    Thank you.

Easton had my heart and soul. Wow! New fav book boyfriend. He melted my insides the things he said and did wow. I can't forget about my girl Scout. I wish more books were written this way the strong, living no nonse male and the strong independent women they each knew what they wanted and went after it never giving up. I am having #EastonandScout withdraws.😣😣😣

    "America's Sport & K Bromberg!"

This was a terrific book and a great series! I LOVED this book as I have all of K Bromberg books. The story of Easton was so moving and so real. Scout was such a strong woman and although they had a few stumbles on their way to a great relationship, they didn't play stupid games and Easton always knew where to find what he needed with Scout. Great epilogue with some happy tears. I'm sure that I will listen to this series again and maybe again. of course, Andi Arndt and Joe Arden hit it out of the ballpark on this book..they are 2 of my fav narrators! ..more than a 5 star book!
