Publisher's Summary

BLURB:

She has her emotions on a tight leash…

Born to a Las Vegas showgirl, fashion designer Faith Fitzgerald's childhood was not easy, until her father found her and whisked her off to L.A. to join his wealthy family.

The rejection by some of her family members hurt, but Faith has moved on. Or so she thinks. She works hard and never lets her guard down, until the day she discovers that someone stole and sold her designs to her competitor and former mentor. To catch the thief and salvage her collection for Fall Fashion Week, Faith turns to her ex-lover, a man who works under the radar and gets results fast. The problem is she has not seen him since she dumped him so unceremoniously.

He's laid-back and spontaneous…

When former-FBI-agent-turned-security-consultant Kenneth ‘Ken' Lambert receives a call from Faith asking for his services, he sees a chance to payback the gorgeous designer for the way she used him then walked out on him. But then he learns that she is being victimized by a man whose idea of love is both dangerous and toxic, Ken pushes aside his personal agenda and agrees to help her.

As their investigation progresses, Ken discovers that Faith's calm exterior hides a woman of character and strength, a woman on the verge of falling apart. Can he help her find the answers she seeks or will she accept his offer instead-acceptance, unconditional love and support?

TEASER:

“I want to hire you to steal some designs from my competitor's offices,” she said.
Ken choked on his drink and started to cough. “What?”
“I want to hire you-”
“Jeez, don't repeat it. I got it the first time.” He looked toward the nearest tables to make sure his voice hadn't drawn attention. A few people were looking their way. He got up, undid the knot holding the flaps of the cabana entrance, so the white material fell into place, giving them total privacy. He pinned Faith with a hard gaze as he sat.
“Why would you want me to do something like that?” he asked, not masking his shock.
“Because he stole my designs, and I want proof so I can plan my next move.”
The relief that raced through Ken left him light-headed. He gulped his drink, wishing it was something stronger. He glowered at the maddening woman in front of him. Why did she always throw him a curve ball when he least expected it?
“Why didn't you just say so in the first place?”
She shrugged. “I needed to get your attention. This is not a joke or a game for me. I need your help.”
Blunt as always. He'd been basking in the knowledge that she needed him for something, that he had her exactly where he wanted her. He just hadn't expected this.

    "terrible recording"
What disappointed you about Dangerous Love?

there is and echo on recording making it sound like the recording was not done in a recording studio. at times you can actually hear horns honking in the back ground. very distracting while driving and listening. story OK- at times the plot changes very abruptly-hard to follow with narration

What didn’t you like about Valerie Gilbert’s performance?

hard to follow which charactor she was trying to portray at times

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Dangerous Love?

    ??

    Any additional comments?

Havew someone listen to this book- why are horns honking in back ground and other noises coming through??

"Like the story, hate the narration"
Would you try another book from E. B. Walters and/or Valerie Gilbert?

I would try another book for both but Valerie needs to be in a studio and not in the bathroom with the window open on a busy street.

What other book might you compare Dangerous Love to and why?

Can't think of any other book to compare its to but listened to the previous book and Valerie was in the same bathroom on the same busy street while narrating the book.

What didn’t you like about Valerie Gilbert’s performance?

Sounded as though she was reading the book from the bathroom. Quality was bad.

Did Dangerous Love inspire you to do anything?

    No

    "Bad sound quality"

This is the first book I've listened to that I could hear car horns and road noise in the background. The story itself was pretty good though.

    "narration needs improvement"

The story was good but the narration was bad. Sounds like it was recorded in a tunnel and you can frequently hear horns from outside traffic.

    "great book"

very entertaining, I loved the writing and the story. I really loved the chemistry between the two. I only have one thing that could be improved, the traffic or train noise in the background, it's not bad, easy to ignore and not frequent but noticeable. I kept thinking I was hearing traffic from outside until I figured it out. other than that every thing was fabulous. the skills of the narrator were great!

faith has decided to design her own clothing line and cannot wait for her first show. However little did she know that her ex was going to copy all of her designs and try to sabotage her while trying to win her back. faith rise above expectations and hires her other EX in order to trap him and also rekindled her Romance. this book is filled with suspense without being overly dramatic. I enjoyed the relationship triangle that played out. The narrator did a fantastic job bringing the story to life and keeping the reader entertained. I absolutely love listening to books by this narrator , she is hands down my favorite. I cannot wait for the next book in the series.

    Story
"OMG! These books keep getting better and better..."

Wow! I loved this book! Who knew designing clothes would be such dangerous work? This book is thrilling, exciting, suspenseful, fun and romantic, yet very dangerous. The characters are well played. The plot is original and the story is still in the like of the Fitzgerald Family Series. Faith is a designed whose designs keep getting stolen. Ken is a private Investigator she hires to prove it. The plot thickens and the danger transpires! Very well done!

The author, EB Walters just amazes me book after book. I am thrilled with this series and find all her books very exciting. I find myself glued to my chair listening as events unfold. The narrator, Valerie Gilbert does a great job delivering this audiobook to us with plenty of different voices and accents. She also adds emotions to the delivery. Well done ladies!

*** I won this series 1 thru 5 of the Fitzgerald Family audiobooks in rafflecopter contests. The books are so good, I just have to tell everyone about it! ***
