About this listen
Executive functioning skills can be improved. Using the science backed principles and easy-to-apply techniques in this workbook, you’ll learn how in just eight days.
How much would you give to never miss a deadline again from procrastinating? How much better would your relationships be if you could regulate your own emotions and calm your nerves like an anger management coach?
It’s true executive functioning skills are more difficult for people with ADHD—but that doesn’t mean you can’t improve them.
This isn’t just a book, it’s a comprehensive guide filled with exercises, tools, and real science backed techniques used in therapeutic settings to significantly improve executive functioning.
You’ll be guided each day to take small but powerful steps to:
- Hone Your Attention and Focus: To overcome distractions and get more done.
- Enhance Your Working Memory: To never forget the important things and keep track with simple efficient systems.
- Master Task Initiation: To end procrastination and immediately work on what you have to when you need to.
- Apply Time Management: To make missed deadlines a thing of the past.
- Enact Essential Organization Skills: To get an organized home you can be proud of. No more apologizing for a mess or endlessly searching for important items.
- Take Command With Impulse Control: To end moments where we look back and think “I wish I didn’t say that.”
- Develop Flexible Thinking: To take abrupt changes in stride and learn how to more easily adapt to any situation.
- Strengthen Your Emotional Regulation: To learn how to regulate your emotions in a mature effective way—whether it’s anger, anxiety, sadness, or some combination—so they don’t keep you from experiencing the great things life has to offer.
You can strengthen your executive functioning skills. Eight days is all it takes to learn the strategies that will drastically improve the rest of your life.

(I have been on a long journey to try find ways to help myself, as can't take meds).
I have known for years exactly:-
Where I need to make changes.
What I need to do
What I need to stop doing!!
Things such as ' daily exercise' 'get in a routine' 'get better sleep', 'better diet', 'use visual cues/post it notes' 'use a planner' 'meditation'.... as you may know the list goes on and on.
The frustration for me has been absolutely none of these changes or habits ever stick with me for more than a few days. I have at points felt extremely frustrated with myself for not being able to implement them to reduce the stress my ADHD causes me....most notably at work.
The executive functioning self assessment at the start in this book did not tell me anything I didn't already know about myself (as done this before elsewhere), But then the book goes on to spell out brilliant executive functioning hacks, together with why and how they help.
The book mixes real life, non patronising advice and information. Also the CBT model and printable work book is quick to fill in, clear and easy to use.
I would recommend this to anyone struggling with harnessing thier unruly brain 😁.
And for anyone like me who hears 'just use a planner'.... then wants to throw the 50 graveyard planners you have under your bed at their face 🤬,
Honestly this book is different.
It does at a few points talk about using a planner, but I held my self together and read on 😂.
I have been using a planner the right way for my brain for 2 weeks now.... not long, but for me that's an achievement.
Best advice to help manage Adult ADHD I have seen in 8 years of searching!!
