Summary
When Maya Hartwell takes a break from her high-profile law career to vacation in the picturesque Landsfield Ridge, she expects relaxation, not mystery. A real page turner
This is a fantastic book that keeps you gripped from beginning to end. The characters are well written, especially Maya. Secrets, mystery and suspense… this has it all and I can’t wait for the rest of the series.

A very enjoyable book
I loved this book. It is well written and very easy to identify with the characters. The lead character Maya is well described and a lover of Pink Floyd which enhanced the appeal for me.I found myself drawn into the whole story. The author has some wonderful turns of phrases and creates the correct amount of suspense when req'd. It is an easy read with a plot that is easy to identify with.

Thoroughly enjoyable
A great story with a strong confident main character in Maya - someone with an intriguing back-story, and who is very relatable. I love that Maya, as the main protagonist, is a woman who's an ex-marine and now an attorney, but who doesn't feel the need to behave in an aggressive way to be seen or heard. The secondary protagonist is a librarian, which is unexpected and entertaining - he's in a good position to help Maya and drive the story forward. Loved the book and looking forward to the next one in the series. Highly recommended.

Leaves you longing for the next thing
It a lovely book. Can't wait to listen to the second one. Pursuit for justice is thrilling. Loved every bit.

Thrilling mystery - you can't stop listening
This is a thrilling listen. I had read the eBook version last summer so I knew the plot, but i was amazed how much the narration enriched the story even more and brought the characters to life. Pounce on this audiobook if you like mysteries, you won't regret it.

Captivating

Enjoyable introduction to Maya Hartwell
Pacy introduction to a new detective series. Maya didn't quite get the vacation she hoped for, stumbling into a quiet towns secrets and can't stop herself digging deeper.
Some good character background and story for Maya to unravel.
