Summary

Dr. Anarchy is a man with a simple dream: to conquer and rule the entire world. While he has yet to achieve his goal, he has managed to become absolute lord and master of one small corner of it. This is the story of what one man was able to achieve though hard work, dedication, careful planning, unhealthy obsession, giant robots, disintegrators, remote controlled grolem dolls, a horde of disposable henchmen, killbots, an annoying cyborg ninja, and 36 rules every supervillain should follow!

probably the best villain novel on the site

I absolutely fell in love with this one, definitely one of the best I've read. I enjoy reading superhero/villain novels and this is definitely a great one.

eagerly awaiting any kind of sequel.

So, there's this girl...

This story grows as Nelson tells it.
I honestly considered turning the book off in the first 30 minutes, it seemed so predictable.

Dr Anarchy is presented as the Saturday morning evil villain, he is way to full of his own self importance and poorly thought out plans. Then there's the girl, who is a Ninja and she comes off as the valley girl who is just using the nerd. The super heroes are initially too shiny with pure goodness, because they are heroes.

The first 30 minutes was needed, to lay the ground work. I reminded me of the Disney "Kim Possible" story line, bubble gum of the imagination. But then Nelson begins to enlighten us to what makes each of the characters and Dr Anarchy's Rules.

There's a giant robot story in here, it came off as hilarious to me; initially falling into the - Just because you can build it, what are you going to do with it and then going the the other extreme, If you got it, be sure to use it.

I liked how the characters were fleshed out, becoming more than what I thought they would. Oh, and the RULES are a bonus, though not all are completely explained. I am hoping that the next installment will provide the background on aliens and the final Ninja throw down.

Overall, I am glad I pushed on and now have another author to follow...

Fun read

Its really good to see Chereta publishing more books on audible. I am desperately awaiting his next Waldo book and this was a charming detour that reminds me why I enjoy his work so much. This is a fun little romp that is similar to other stories like the dark lord's handbook or super sales on super heros but with its own signature style and charm that makes you feel good.

more like a collection of short stories than a novel, but was a lot of fun to listen to.

Twisted sense of humor

I don't know of many books with the same level of warped humor. But at the same time there is a great deal of thought put behind the plot line and the characters. The overall was fun and entertaining. I particularly enjoyed the guessing game of who's who when it comes to the heroes.

Great main character, bad sidekick

The story involving the main character is pretty interesting; though I wish there was some actual development in the story. This seems to be mostly just a day in the life of a super villain. The second main character, the ninja cyborg, was honestly just annoying as heck though. Some parts of her character are fine like the general sas, but many parts of her character are so terrible I wish the author would just make her fall off a random cliff somewhere. In terms of female main characters in stories, Im usually fairly leneant in how they act, this one is definitely near the top of the kill list though lol. Spoiler: For instance when she killed off Amanda she did it to stop her from using doc to her own ends. It’s funny because like 99% of the ninja’s actions are using doc to her own ends. Not to mention her constant sexual jokes are straight up aids to listen to. If a guy was making those jokes he would be written off as an arrogant ass or terminally ill. Please for the love of god kill her off.

I needed that

One of the best books I’ve list to. This is the kind of super villain you’d want to be.

DO NOT pass up this book.

Should be a trilogy

I can't describe how much I want there to be more of this. The narration was absolutely perfect for the title.

fantastic

I wasn't expecting to like the narrator, but after about three chapters I realized that his voice was absolutely perfect for the tone of the book.

I'm so glad my friend recommended it to me.
