Summary
A woman is on trial for her life, accused of murder. The 12 members of the jury each carry their own secret burden of guilt and prejudice which could affect the outcome.

A mixed bag of goodies
I had this in my wish list since it was released and I'm so glad I took the plunge. Before the story starts you are given a mini biography of the author. In order to find out more off I went to Google Mr Postgate and it was a joy to find out that his son was the creator of my child hood heros the Clangers, Nogging the Nog and of course that wonderful old cloth cat Bagpuss. Anyway I digress....
Told in the following 3 parts..the Jurors, of which we learn a little of each and in amongst them we have a hairdresser, an actor, a gay Greek scholar, a murderer and a trade unionist. The Accused and finally the Trial.
Set in the 40s, so it's not to gory or has gratuitous swearing in it, we are treated to a story which flows along nicely. There are moments of comedy plus some ' of the time stereotypes' which is to be expected. On the whole it's a decent who-dun-it but not edge of seat nail biting stuff.
David Thorpe does an excellent job with all the voices.
I'm glad it's been resurrected.

Not quite to my taste
I struggled to finish this one. The idea was original, it was just not presented as well as I'd thought it could be. Sadly, this will be a return.
