A great twist on a well torden story

So without giving away any spoilers...I can't really say anything, I genuinely had no idea where this book would end up once the narrative had been established and really enjoyed the ride.

The whole alien-nus-nuss of it all was well written and I loved the science behind it all the drove everything forward.

I think if i was going to nit-pick I would of liked a little more emotion at times from the performance, who I felt was a little dead pan at times but in no way distracted from the story.

If your in the mood for some great sci-fi with a twist check it out

A well-planted garden.

I have not yet finished listening to this audiobook, but so far I have been delighted with it. I have read many sci-fi books over the years, but I still find this story gripping and original, with that "difficult to put down" feeling to it. In addition, and perhaps more importantly, I find Kendrick's reading of the story excellent. His voice is pleasing to the ear, his enunciation is beautifully clear, he comes across as an intelligent man who has done his homework in terms of preparing the work for delivery, and he reads with a feeling of restrained excitement which is perfect for a story of this type. His voice carried me along with a constant desire to know "what happens next?", which is precisely what a good book should do for the reader -- or, in this case, the listener. Thank you to both Reynolds-Moreton and especially Kendrick -- I would very much like to hear more readings from him.

"A delicacy of judgement and execution "

A lone space travellor, against the odds, survives the destruction of his ship, crash landing his module on a seemingly hostile, sterile planet. Although the atmosphere was breathable, without a fresh supply of water, Jed knew he would soon die, so he set out across the alien desert, finding - none. Instead a tree grows...
The Seed Garden is a delightful story of exploration and immagination, simply written, with the feel of an old time S.F. story, the sort to open the reader's eyes in wonder. And it is expertly read by Christopher Kendrick, his clear but gentle English accented voice pace perfect. His narration distances him from the action allowing the book itself to lead. A fine lergormance.

My thanks to the rights holder who, at my request, freely gifted me with a complimentary copy via Audiobook Boom. It was a pleasure to read. My only reservation was the length. Although only six hours long, a final section before the conclusion felt unecessary, despite being fascinating in itself. But that is probably just me. . Recommended to old style, and thought provoking, S.F.fans.

Different!

I was gifted this book free so decided to give it a go. It starts fast and gets you gripped early on. You get a real sense of the isolation and hopelessness and paints a vivid picture in the minds eye. It seems to speed along at a very swift pace and towards the end you’re left thinking where could this possibly go? With more questions than answers it keeps you engaged and is very thought provoking, I was thinking I was going to be left without any answers to the many questions and then boom! Last 2 mins fixed it! Bravo couldn’t have imagined I’d be satisfied with a very short ending... but I was
It will stay with me I think
