Summary

The cold, blustery Midwest winters don't exactly agree with Betsy Devonshire, but since moving to Excelsior, Minnestoa, she sure has met a lot of warm, friendly people. So she isn't too surprised when the town's most talented needleworkers volunteer to restore a damaged tapestry that was found in the basement of a local church. Betsy even offers to donate materials for the project, thinking that the free publicity will boost sales at her financially troubled needlecraft shop. But soon Betsy is afraid of losing more than her business - because her good intentions have unleashed some deadly secrets....

Loved it

Just great - a real feel good attempted murder story…. Rattled along from beginning to end!

Surprisingly Good!

A totally unexpected storyline. An amazingly sneaky crime. A well delivered discovery/denouement and an interestingly told tale!

I’m really enjoying this series.

Good story but narrator a bit robotic

I liked the story but found the narrator very hard to listen to at times - very robotic sounding.

So far best in the series…

I came across the series because it is included with Audible membership and I am always looking for something light to listen to whilst doing house work or walking dogs. Quaint little series, easy to follow and personable characters. The narrator takes some getting used to. She has great clear diction but sounds robotic in her delivery - a little like your GPS is talking to you. Saying that, it is tolerable even to a highly auditory person like myself. So, in conclusion, I can recommend the series and this particular book is most interesting storyline so far! Enjoy!

Weak

A mystery concerning an old tapestry sounded good
Sorry but I wouldn’t recommend this book as I found it waffling. Overall idea was quite good but too much waffling information not relevant to plot or story.
Didn’t really like the way it was narrated either .
