Story
This is a diverting delight, a window on romance in literature. There are high lovers and low lovers, tragic lovers, comic lovers, and lovers who shouldn’t be doing what they are doing at all and certainly not then and there. There is even Fanny Hill trying not to discover what physical love is about when set upon by an old roué who has paid for the privilege. Though of special interest for lovers and their special lover’s day of St. Valentine, it is an amusing and sometimes surprising collection.

The content is there but the index is bad
The reader is acceptable and the sources are good. The problem is with the index. New titles begin in the middle of chapters and the publisher's supplied map is inaccurate. For the price of eighty-one cents, you can't really go wrong with these public domain classics but more effort was spend on marketing than on the actual content.

Very few reviews here but I'm baffled by their experience - I downloaded 100+ hours of this audiobook with no problem. Am currently 6 hours in to Little Women which I have never heard but is a nice tale. Maybe Audible has fixed the problems? For $0.66 this is the best bargain I have ever run across

Download in parts
Based on reviews I was skeptical, however, when you change your settings to download in parts it actually works. It gives you 9 parts to download.
I wasn't sure from reviews if the books were complete or just parts of them.
*They are complete books*
Audible really should change the settings to list each book on each chapter to organize it better so you know which download you'd like to listen to.
I have done that for myself though, and I'll share that here.

Half Of Little Women, then nothing. Arrrggghhhh!!
This would've been a great deal and a great listen. All these classics for a dollar? If it sounds too good to be true, it must be. It would've been better to have nothing than a false promise that it worked, then just quit halfway through a book. A giant two thumbs down for the file, though the books are amazing. Wish I could've listened to them.

A Great Deal!
I purchased the book for $.66 and have listened to Treasure Island so far, it was great! There are some editing issues, such as repeated text, which is why I only gave four stars. Overall the speaker is clear and the voices are done well. I did have an issue with audible becoming non-responsive, but once I let the file fully download all the issues stopped. I also found finding the start of the books difficult, but this is more an issue with the Audible layout then the book. I am looking forward to hearing more stories from this book!
