Wow so much hotness in these 2 books. If your looking for lots of sexytime about one couple finding thier way then this is for you. I gave this book 4 stars because I would have liked a bit more to the story and maybe a little less sexy time. Overall I still did enjoy this read and the twists the story had. I think the narrator did a good job. My only thing I wasn't a huge fan of when the narrator was reading the males chapters and he did a the female voice. overall a enjoy this one just make sure you like sexy time before you listen.

Audiobook review. When I first started this book, I wasn’t sure what to expect or even if it would be for me. The beginning depicted a heroine that appeared to be getting validation from how her lifelong crush, our hero, saw her physically. She made changes to herself to make herself more appealing to him. It involved some deception on her part and little regret for the effect of her actions.

As the story went along there was a lot of internalizing. The relationship between two perceived strangers moved rather quickly, evidenced by the introduction of “love” early on. Then we get introduced to Andre and my interest was peaked. The contrast offered by the more experienced man shed light into the personalities that had been crafted for the main characters. He was absolutely vital to the story. He was the catalyst for growth. The story fell into a steady flow from there on. Ultimately, Paul was a little self centered for my liking, his focus even in scenes was primarily on his pay off in my opinion but I liked Emily’s glimpses of strength and together they seemed to balance out.

The narrator had a French lilt when pronouncing words like “particularly”, “brittle”, and “regularly” but his English was otherwise clear. His French gave Andre an absolutely irresistible voice. It was spectacular 🔥. The pace was a bit on the slower side so the 2x speed really worked for me. He had a strong tone.

I am definitely interested in finding out more about Andre and what makes him tick.

Thank you to Ashton Publishing Group for providing me with a free audiobook in return for an honest review.

Fate and KInk is a childhood friends turn into lovers story, with a little-added BDSM. Emily has always had a crush on family friend’s son, Paul. Fate focuses on Emily trying to get Paul’s attention as her alter ego. Kink then focuses on their next level relationship.

In all honesty, this story very nearly became a DNF numerous times. My mindset would go from ‘It’s a 12-hour audiobook, let it get into the flow,’ to ‘You’re halfway through, let’s give the second story a chance’ to ‘You’re two hours away from finishing, you may as well do it.’

For me, fate started off fairly interesting…although a little hard to believe…There’s a few boys that I grew up with and haven’t seen for years but I’m fairly certain I’d notice them if I passed them in the street let alone if I jumped into bed with them. I found it really hard to believe that Paul didn’t recognise Emily when she simply changed her hair and makeup…especially when he saw her as Emily not long after.

Throughout both stories, not very much actually happened. There was an interesting event in Kink but it was over almost as soon as it came up.

Emily’s character was okay…she was fairly likable although not very memorable.
Paul was okay in Fate, he was charming and looked out a lot for Emily…in Kink however, I did a 180 and decided I couldn’t stand him. His internal POV thoughts were ludicrously sexist and chauvinistic.
The only redeeming character was Andre who I absolutely adored. I think that I actually would consider reading his story, also written by Nikki Sex.

There were two narrators in fate, but only Guillaume Dubois remained in Kink. Both narrators were absolutely brilliant, they really brought along the stories with their reading. In Kink, Guillaume Dubois did a great job on his own.

I’m sorry to say that I really couldn’t get into this story. I would highly recommend it for those who are into solely BDSM reads…I just found it quite slow as that’s all the story seemed to focus on.

12 hours of very little story...

I really enjoyed book 1 (fate) I thought it was written and told really well , Emily was a strong willed character who knew what she wanted and went for it
in book 2 (kink) she took being a submissive way to seriously and it was like she had no mind of her own anymore, I didn't like Paul much in the second book either , he seemed quite bullyish rather than dominant , this could just be my interpretation so don't let it put you off , I did enjoy parts of the story , the narration was good too but I think a female narrator for Emily would have been better

This book was very interesting and I enjoyed it a lot. This was a very well written story of learning to love and trust again. This book was emotional and very heart tugging. I would recommend this book if you love an emotional journey.
