Romantic suspense, it just can't get any better! Jennifer Ann gives a whole new look to how true love shines through! This story has a little of everything. Linc, the hot, alpha male, comes home from his tour as a Navy Seal finds the true love of his life engaged to his twin brother. And now we get to see what happened, why he left to begin with and what he is going to do now. It's a got family secrets, Russian mafia, promises made to be broken, and chemistry beyond belief. It encompasses a love you find once in a lifetime, unbreakable and passionate. It shows how sometimes family bonds are just not enough and how ruthless some people can be. It will make you feel happy, sad, disgusted, frustrated and in love. Jennifer Ann comes shining through with this release!

Troy Duran and Keira Stevens are incredible with their narration. The casting of Duran is perfect for Linc, his deep voice projects that protective feeling and enfolds you into the character. Stevens gives Kayla a strength to her with an emotional portrayal. It is full of emotional pushes and pulls and theses two narrators draw you into their story.

Quinn and Linc were high school sweethearts and found out the hard way one decision came change a lot of lives. Sacrificing himself to do what he thinks is right and will protect Quinn, Linc is arrested and sets in motion everything he was trying to prevent. After being in the military and away from home for 7 years, Lincoln is back to hopefully reclaim his love, but man have things changed! Quinn has changed and her secrets are doozies! Quinn was strong and independent, but there were times I questioned her thought process. Will they get a second chance at love, or will their secrets be too much to overcome?

It felt like there was a secret revealed on every page! This book will keep you hooked until the very end. The narration was great, but I wasn’t expecting the deep, richness of Troy Duran! That was pleasantly unexpected and the personality Keira injected into Quinn was perfect. This was the first book I’ve read by Jennifer Ann, I wasn’t disappointed. I’ve added her to my list of authors to look out for!

I listed to the audiobook version and thought the narrators did a great job at bringing the story to life.

Cameron Quinn's life is full of secrets. Ones she is keeping and ones that are being kept from her. She has her own plan and it isn't something she is ready to give up just yet.

Lincoln Farrington left to become a Navy SEAL even if that wasn't the plan. He knows there are more secrets than what he is aware of. Yet, he doesn't know how to get the answers from Cameron.

The secrets are intense during this book, and the emotions are strong. I was captivated! I wanted all the answers and couldn't imagine what in the world was going to happen. There was so much I didn't see coming and the bad guys were EVERYWHERE! You think you know, but you don't. There are so many plot twists and so many different players in the game, it's hard to know who is the worst of them all and the more you get into the story the worse they get.

There is so much going on during this book it's a rollercoaster for sure. I was on the edge of my seat the entire time! And I loved every bit of it! The angst was strong and intense! The love was irrefutable, but is love enough? Will it persevere? Will they survive all they will endure?

The chemistry is strong and the emotions are real. I was invested in these characters and all they have been through. This book was hard on my emotions, the things Quinn has gone through in such a short life at the hands of others is unimaginable and the strength she has after is commendable. She gave me hope. If she can make it through all she has been through, then I can make it through anything life throws at me. I love her and her strength and I adored Linc and his loyalty even if it isn't always understood.

Troy Duran has an amazing rasp to his deep voice and it is perfect! Keira Stevens did a wonderful job as Quinn. These two did absolutely perfect on expressing the emotions needed to give this book the life it deserved! This book was intense and their voices added to that intensity. This will be a book I revisit over and over.
