A Reformed Baptist is a Christian who believes in the great doctrines recovered by the Protestant Reformation, including the sufficiency of Scripture for the church, salvation by God's free grace, justification by faith alone, the importance of God's good law and the gospel of Jesus Christ, the centrality of the church in the life of the believer, and the great doctrine of Christian liberty.

An Honest, Well-Experienced Heart introduces us to the life and writings of Puritan preacher and author John Flavel (1627-1691). In his brief introductory biography, Adam Embry discusses Flavel's background, ministry, and theology of keeping the heart, which, for Flavel, is the great business of a Christian's life. Embry guides us through forty-two short passages from Flavel's writings that acquaint us with this dedicated Puritan minister's piety.

Sweetly Set on God introduces listeners to the life and journal writings of David Brainerd (1718-1747), best remembered for his missionary work among the American Indians. Dustin Benge begins by presenting the events of Brainerd's short life and the intense personal spiritual piety that undergirded his pioneering missionary work. Then, in fifty-one excerpts drawn from Brainerd's journal, listeners will discover his evangelical humiliation, his understanding that God had altered his sinful human nature, his sensitivity to sin, and his holiness of life.

Love to Christ introduces listeners to one of the most beloved Scottish pastors of the nineteenth century, Robert Murray M'Cheyne (1813-1843). Following a biographical sketch that acquaints us with the life and ministry of M'Cheyne, Jordon Stone presents thirty-eight excerpts from M'Cheyne's writings that walk us through the nature, foundation, means, rewards, and ministry of holiness. M'Cheyne's life and ministry was marked by a pursuit of holiness.

This is a very well-written explanation and defense of the biblical doctrine of predestination. The author, Loraine Boettner, received a bachelor of science degree from Tarkio College in 1925. He then attended Princeton Theological Seminary, receiving two degrees there: a bachelor of theology in 1928, and a master of theology in 1929.

This book by Douglas Wilson shows that many who call themselves Reformed have in fact lost the older Calvinistic teaching about the objectivity of the covenant and the promises made to Christians at baptism. Multitudes of faithless, corrupt Christians show that they do not believe what God said at their baptism.

'The Wholesome Doctrine of the Gospel' familiarizes listeners with one of England's most influential theologians, William Perkins. In the opening biographical sketch, Andrew S. Ballitch and J. Stephen Yuille give an overview of Pekins's life, theology, and piety. Beeke and Mark Jones acquaint the listener with Goodwin through an informative biographical introduction. The remainder of the book, 35 selections from across the works of Goodwin, displays Goodwin’s constant attention to Christ in his various theological engagements. You will learn much about the life and works of this influential Puritan, and perhaps, be strengthened with a habitual sight of Christ.
