They Came From the Trees

The invaders need the mentally strong and the physically able—the rest of the human population are simply landfill. Who are these creatures and what are their intentions? Sheldon, a 15-year-old high school dropout, has no interest in finding out—at least not yet. Instead, he fights for his life as these ruthless aliens take over the little town of Hidden Trail.

As a traitor to the human resistance, Sheldon attempts to abandon his simple farm life and newfound friends to fit in with this new alien movement. Proving to be more powerful than most of the infected, Sheldon is soon given important leadership roles–deciding if new human recruits are strong and healthy, or simply executed.

The infected teen, with the power to heal the sick and injured, is now given a pivotal role in the resistance against the powerful alien movement. But as a second wave of the extra-terrestrial forces cripples the coast and a bounty is put on him, Sheldon is forced into hiding. On the brink of a nuclear end-of-world counter strike, Sheldon and a small group of survivors frantically seek shelter. And, somehow, in the midst of war, Sheldon can’t help but find himself falling in love again–and the timing is terrible.
