You are invited to think, specifically, about salvation by God’s grace. If you are a born-again believer in Jesus, this is your salvation. As we explore and think about salvation by God’s grace, we will discover that there is a way things work in God’s creation. We will explore the concept of thinking. We will consider many questions about thinking? How does the mind relate to thinking? Where do words fit into thinking? How is believing connected? There is a way things work in God’s creation.

To answer the question completely and thoroughly "What does it mean to be saved?" is impossible. Why is that? I can think of a least four reasons. There is more yet to be revealed about what it means to be saved.

The Adventures in Biblical Thinking series is an invitation to think. Each volume focuses on separate topics. In volume three, the topics are creation, grace, the church, and sanctification. The adventures are designed to stimulate thinking, to generate wonder, to increase understanding, and to inspire.

In this book, we look at the famous “I am” statements of Jesus in the gospel of John. Each statement is a declaration by Jesus that he is God. Each “I am” gives a clearer picture of who he is as God, what he has done, and what he is doing. As you listen to the gospel of John, you may be surprised at in how many additional Bible verses Jesus uses the phrase “I am”. By getting to know Jesus better, we come to appreciate him more and to love him even more.

What was the mother thinking when she decided to abort her baby? What was the mother thinking after she had aborted her baby? Why focus on the mother who aborted her baby? Although most of the emphasis is usually on the unborn baby, the victim of the abortion, the issue begins with the unborn baby’s mother. There would be no abortion without a pregnant mother. If there is to be a decision not to abort the unborn baby and to carry the baby to term, the pregnant mother will be the one to make that decision. The unborn baby can’t make the decision.

The Adventure in Biblical Thinking Study series comes in three volumes. The volumes are a collection of studies of biblical concepts and principles. Most of my audiobooks contain several individual topical studies. My goal in creating the Biblical Thinking Study series was to gather the many topical studies into three larger volumes. Volume one contains 22 short-length studies.

In this audiobook adventure, I go exploring in the book of Proverbs. I conducted five topical explorations: the fool, the liar, the hater, the ruler, and the teachable person. I simply recorded the verses for each topic in the order they appeared in Proverbs. I have resisted the temptation to comment and just let the verse speak for itself. I found it fascinating to simply listen to the verses one after another. I think you will too. As you listen be sure to reflect on events, situations, and attitudes in the news you read or hear.

In All Alone-Not Alone, the fact that each person is a unique individual, a discreet person, generates a sense of aloneness, and the provision of the Lord to be with each person in a special way is explored. In Experience Love-Express Love, I explore the characteristics of experiencing love from God and from others and the characteristics of expressing love to God and to others. The Tale of Two Containers is a metaphor identifying and describing the difference between a Jesus follower and a person who does not know God and is lost from God.

Regeneration speaks of a recreation or being created again. This term describes what happens when a person is born again and becomes a believer and a Jesus follower. Scripture teaches that when a person becomes a believer, they become a new creation.

Sins forgiven? When? Which sins? How many sins? All of my sins? How can this be? Becoming a Christian? Being born again? Becoming a believer? Becoming a Jesus follower? Then what? Jesus followers are committed to serving Jesus and see serving Jesus as their duty. Scripture tells us that Jesus will reward His followers for their service. Jesus followers will understand that any serving they do in the way of serving in the Kingdom of God is actually serving Jesus. Loving and serving are linked because in the Kingdom of God serving is a demonstration of love. Therefore, serving in the Kingdom of God way is obeying the first and second commandments of loving God and loving neighbors.

This book is about some words. The subtitle states that words are very important. This statement is hardly profound. We think in words. We communicate with each other in words. I am writing words, and you are reading words. The words we use are important. We think in words. We use words to describe our feelings. We use words to communicate with one another and with God. We use words to describe what we see and hear. Parents are thrilled when their babies begin to speak words.

This book concentrates on Jesus in the Gospel of John by looking at stories, lessons taught by Jesus, and what Jesus said about some topics. The author seeks to identify, state, and distill specific profound truths from these passages. Knowing the truth is preliminary to believing the truth which leads to doing the truth.
