These days, our peace of mind is more at risk than ever. Between the joblessness, political tensions, economic instability, and the overwhelming number of growing concerns in our world, there is no shortage of things to be upset by. While many of the problems we face are indeed large, a lot of them aren't as big as we think. We often magnify our problems and even create new problems when we become irrational. Almost more important than any problem we face is our method(s) for dealing with it. Our perspective of it and our ability to stay anchored while facing it.

In 1997, the world was rocked with the news of Rich Mullins' passing. Christians everywhere paused their lives to mourn the loss. Radio stations paid tributes. Newspapers dedicated articles. Friends, family members, fans, and fellow musicians came together to remember this man that had impacted their lives. I was with my family when I heard. I was standing in our driveway. It seemed strange, because just a few hours prior, I saw Rich Mullins alive, leaving our house.
