Welcome to Brisbane, Queensland. It’s 1970, and Australia’s 'Sunshine State' is a land of mown lawns, beer and pumpkin scones. But underneath this buttoned-down conservativism, the state is awash with dirty money that runs through a network of corrupt cops. And tonight, the man atop this rubbish heap, Senior Sergeant Paul ‘Squinter’ O’Toole, is driving young crime reporter Lawrence Rich to his death.

Weird Tales magazine is known for launching a number of sub-genres of fiction—cosmic horror, swords & sorcery, dark fantasy, and others. It has also greatly added to existing genres like science fiction, horror, and—a personal favorite of editor Jonathan Maberry—weird mystery stories. Or, as they became known—occult detective tales.

Legal Ethics Musical is a satirical, lighthearted (but pointed) look at the journey of an idealistic law school graduate, Mike Keen, as he navigates the treacherous waters of modern legal practice. The show uses humor, memorable characters, and musical numbers to explore themes of morality, justice, and whether “the system” ever truly allows lawyers to do the right thing.
