The Spirit-filled life is a lifelong adventure into the depths of God's Love. Jesus is the Baptizer with the Holy Spirit, desiring to inundate everyone who comes to Him with Living Water from His Well, which never runs dry. He is waiting at the Well for anyone who will come, just as He waited when he met the Samaritan woman at Jacob's Well many years ago here on Earth. He said to her, "Whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life."

It’s never too late, right? Did someone say it couldn’t be done? At age seventy-five, with no email, no Wi-Fi or computer, and only pencil and paper as his tools of the trade, from his one-bedroom apartment in Troy, New York, Mīchol started creating poems. Modern Poems seemed to take shape one poem at a time. Mīchol let his creativity flow as he crafted poems about holidays, seasons, and other themes. Putting his heart and mind to work, he discovered a poet living inside him, screaming to come out.

This entire book was written as a result of losing my eighteen-year old son in a car accident. He was driving in a caravan of five cars going to a car show. He was driving too fast on a turnpike in Oklahoma in the rain when his car hydroplaned, spun around backward, and slid under the front of a wrecker on the side of the highway. The wrecker and a highway patrol officer were there as a result of another car that had hydroplaned in the same area prior to my son.

In a time when your life's uprooted, and you can't find your way to the path... These testaments may help you feel reborn, a metaphoric soul-cleansing bath. If you can relate at all, you're not alone... together we'll cut the trauma in two... When you understand that you are enough, you'll realize the value within you.

Grandchildren are… laughter from ancient wells deep and serene who rise from spiritual places we have long forgotten since our entrance into this world… This place… This existence…

No one book or work of art can ever depict all of reality. Each individual artist brings their own interpretation to the truth, but there are facts of life that cannot be denied. I think the many things I’ve gone through with people jobs, churches, family, friends enable me to formulate over the years a paradigm of emotions and expressions, and now I put them in writing in this book. As we travel through life every day, we are faced with situations or celebrations that require some type of response—written or verbal. When this happens, it leaves little or no time to rush to the card outlet, going from aisle to aisle trying to find just the right card that will convey our deepest thoughts, usually resulting in the selection of slightly bent or smug finger print cards. We could spend hours upon hours picking our brains or perhaps walking the floor all night trying to find those special words for that special person in our lives. Till now, that was a problem.

Parting Ways is a book of poetry in support of birth mothers and our adopted children. Birth mothers, may you always know what a courageous and selfless decision you had to make. And to all our adopted children, may you know how much you are loved and cherished by the women who carried you and still do in their hearts forever.

Bernadine's many different poems and short stories are a collection of her thoughts and her many encounters in her life. She now lives in Canton, Ohio, with her husband Mark of soon to be nine years. She has no children of her own, but Bernadine has helped many along the way to remain off the streets.

The lyrics came from the Lord Jesus in the Holy Bible. I have had these poems since 2015. He would wake me up at different times during the night with lyrics. While I was cooking, hanging out with friends, I would stop in the middle of whatever I was doing and jot them down. The last poem I remember was February of 2018, and then in July that same year, I said to the Lord, "You haven't given me any poems lately," and He replied, "You haven't done anything with the ones that I have given you." That is when I mailed them in to Christian Faith Publishing in August 2018.
