Lieutenant General Finn Delgado organisiert mit den wenigen verbliebenen Einheiten des Planeten eine verzweifelte Verteidigung. Als den Angreifern während der erbitterten Kämpfe auch noch eine wichtige Geisel in die Hände fällt und ein Hinradyschiff mit ihr entkommt, gerät die Lage vollends außer Kontrolle.
