If Truth Medici has learned anything, it’s that the country isn’t neatly divided into safe and dangerous zones. Everywhere is a battlefield and a hunting ground. Everyone is both predator and prey, slumrats on the run from bigger rats. Truth is finally one of the bigger rats, so elite that ordinary people can’t even see him. But though he may be a walking ghost, he’ll be acknowledged one way or another. Truth holds the power to slay the very oppressors who made him what he is. They were kind enough to bring with them a whole new slew of problems for me to deal with. They’ve started a war of conquest, lost a fellow Marshall, and have done everything they can to make an already dangerous wasteland a powderkeg. Now they want to send me across the Cut, the most dangerous stretch of irradiated territory in the wastes, to investigate why the Rebuild America System isn’t fully active. I’ve fought the monsters that have spilled from it, and haven’t heard of anyone whose crossed it, and lived.
