I foråret 1943 mødtes en gruppe handlekraftige mænd i baglokalet til Stjerne Radio på Istedgade i København. Mødet førte til dannelsen af sabotageorganisationen Holger Danske, som blev den største af sin slags i Danmark. Historiker Peter Birkelund tegner i denne bog et levende portræt af Holger Danskes sabotører.
